Shipping a surfboard is going to run you over your budget unless you get some crazy shipping deal or the vendor has some cheap way of doing it. Can't think of any places that list used inventory online.

thanks!

Some people are calling it the biggest swell in seven years. Forecast looks so good. Pretty good time to get fired tbh

I sort of just impulse purchased a blank. Greenlight had a sale and I've never really had a true hpsb. Planning 5'7"x19", which should have a pretty wide range from punchy waist high ones to winter barrels. Deep concave, 25 liters or so, stringerless eps with carbon and vector net. Bought some orange tint.

Just gotta wait till resin and glass go on sale.

I surf in Sheboygan, 4ft swell is probably the biggest freaking swell I've ever surfed. But I love it.

Push yourself into bigger swell. You can hold your breath so much longer than you think. That I'm going to drown feeling is because co2 builds up in your lungs but after 15 seconds you don't have that feeling anymore.

That at was probably the bar advice I ever received to charge big waves.

Thanks! That helped a lot. Sheboygan waves only get high during winter so during summer they only reach about 4ft on average. I hope that someday I will be able to surf in the ocean where the swell is bigger. I will definitely keep that advice in mind. Where do you surf?

Is that in the great lakes or something? Always wanted to surf there once just for the experience.

Anyway its gonna be like 100 degrees today. Longboard waves but i'll take anything. It's been dead.

Yeah. Great Lakes surfing is a neat experience, it's normally long boarders but we get the occasional shortboarders which is cool too. Most people don't think of the Great Lakes as a place surf but on the right days sometimes the swell reaches 8ft. It's rad

I nearly got butt raped by some gaper's board today. He was just staring at me, so i took a lower line and went around him. Then he decided to paddle and the nose of his board stabbed me in the ass, but the side. No penetration, luckily. Also got hit by some girl's board, although it was a foamie so no damage to me my board. People need to pay attention.

Thing is probably so fast on a clean face.

Also, that feel when you have no motivation to fix your small wave board because it's not even big enough for that. Serious flat spell here as of late. I tried yesterday before work and basically rage quit and left early, which I never usually do.

I've been processing ski porn for the last month without being able to ski. My coping method? Surfing. Now that the waves are flat for the rest of the summer (or so it feels, FML) I've got nothing better to do than watch the Fiji Pro and excessive amounts of surf porn while I wait for the next hurricane. Or winter to come. Either works.

So let's talk surfing!

-What's in your quiver?

-Favorite surf video/segment/movie?

-Where do you surf?

-Wetsuit Gabber

-Favorite Person to watch surf?

-Favorite surf photographer or videographer?

-What are you about - XXL Waves, getting wicked barreled, busting out massive airs and turns, or hanging ten on your longboard?

Here's some x-rated surf content

Yes, go buy it and watch it. Such a cool story about a cool dude.

Soo I'm officially going to peru for a surf trip this august to try and get a piece of the worlds longest left, beyond stoked. Anybody ventured there before and have any advice? What would you guys recumbent for a board? Should I bring or buy one there?

Finally had a couple good days on the cape and Im stoked on my PJ.

Honestly 5'5 is too short for my 5'9 140lbs dad bod. I can get up but I need a serious section behind me and need to be in the perfect spot. Id get another 5'9 if I could do it again cuz that shit would get into mushy cape cod 2ft junk with ease. The 5'5 however I have only taken out on 3-4ft days, but damn did it rip on those days. Super skatey and fast

Jealous. I always enjoy surfing a fish on point breaks. Also when the shape is really good a short board that turns well in the pocket. Bring those two ideally with a five fin set up so you can switch between a thruster and quad. Also try renting a long board for a day. Have fun!

Ireland aside, has it been no bigger than wist high for the last month and a half for anybody else? I'm short, too, so waist high on me really isn't much of a wave. Just want to ride my new board in chest-head high stuff.

Up until a week ago surf was nice and mellow, and then all of a sudden the wave machine turned off and it's not even breaking. And of course i move back to idaho wednesday and a solid 6-7 foot swell rolls in thursday

And dub post but south to sian is as good as strange rumblings in shangri la

If anyone here surfs in new england and could fill me in on whats going this weekend since my mind was just blown when magic seaweed said waves on the cape this weekend are forecast for 8-13 feet

I think the models are just freaking out a bit. Swellinfo was saying it'll be massive sunday here in jersey too but I doubt it. Give it a few days and see what happens.

About to go get some tasty chest high waves on my new board though. First time it's been decent in months.

that makes sense haha id just never seen a forcast that huge in the summer and true that just made my first turns on some sweet waves in rhode island yesterday

Hey everyone, so I need a longboard. I have a shortboard which I love but I'm interested in getting a longboard again for when the waves are low. My shortboard is a 5,1 and my old longboard used to be a 7,4. So if any of you are selling a used longboard/fish/fun or know anyone please lemme know. Much love!

Although... this storm is supposed to have some funky behavior. Maybe it'll be big, although I still doubt it'll be like 10ft or whatever they're calling for. I think it'll end up being unsurfable between crazy winds and big waves with like 5sec periods or something, at least here in NJ.

Anyway I got to test my new creation today, dubbed the creamsicle for obvious reasons.

It's ridiculous. I paddled out and like a chest-head high wave pops up seconds after I reach the lineup. The kid looking at it decided he didn't want it so I was like awwww shiiittttttt this is mine. The board weighs like nothing under my feet and pumps for speed so efficiently. Most of the waves I had I just got as much speed as possible then dumped it in one turn. So fun. It's easy to just make this thing slide or push it around through the lip. Speed generation is insane though and that was really my goal with this board. Waves better continue to be decent so I can keep riding it.

Yooo surf homies! I just moved to South Shore Oahu for the next few months, if anyone is in the area and wants to catch some waves shoot me a message. I'm hopefully going to be surfing 5 days a week for the foreseeable future. Also just bought a new board when I moved out here, 5'10 fish quad fin. I'll snap some photos when I have time

The DX1 has so much release. It's fucked. I barely need to shift my weight onto my front foot with snaps to release the tail. It's amazing.

Just started surfing last week on my high school's surf team with 0 prior experience. Bought the legendary costco wavestorm for like $150 and stood up and rode my first wave today. That feeling, successfully standing up on a wave, brought me almost as close to how i felt with the first rail i hit skiing. I am beyond siced, can't wait to surf more! Join me in my stoke!

that was a beefy swell in new england. hope the atlantic keeps churning em out for us up here.

Lol it was pretty bad here in north/central nj. I think it cleaned up once but I was at work. Otherwise it was like victory at sea status the entire time. Saw some photos from new york though and it looked pristine.
