Official MHSSC thread

Heading out for sesh. 7 tomorrow, how are the conditions? If that was already addressed what page was it on?

Poles were waxed, boxes were buttered, snow was flying

Not really any great stories but it was just slutty.

The old dude that runs the camp (Mike?) walked in on me hooking up with some racer chick in the Coho TV area in the middle of the day while everyone was at the campfire. It was hilarious

But really, if it's your first time going to MHSSC, be prepared for the best week(s) of your lives. I've had nothing else in my life NEARLY compare to the pure awesomeness that MHSSC provided for me.

I was driving in Sandy today and the conversation went like this:

*I see guy in K2 shirt* "Duuude he must be spanced"

(Friend Zach who was at MHSSC last year) "IT'S PATRICK FROM MHSSC!"

Is that you p-fo?

Yeah most likely. We ended up spending too much time wandering around there while people were at the DMV.

MHSSC seems like a pretty cool place with a core group of people who love it like a home, which is sick as hell. When I was at Hood, I skied down to Palmer or the bottom a few times a day, and always looked down and admired the MHSSC park for how creative and fun it looked, rope tows or not.

In the lodge this year, I started my morning by meeting my Windells coach at a spot very close to a MHSSC group. I was pretty bummed that a lot of those kids pretty much acted like pricks around and to a lot of the Windells kids, clearly making an effort for themselves to be heard by the same people they were talking to or about. That definitely set a bar pretty low for how those kids represented for MHSSC, but whatever.

I've still got love for the place even though I've never even been. It definitely seems like the camp without the extra frills and fuss. Fun looking camp.

well we were driving back from the airport, and pfo had to go in some store or something so i went to dollar tree, and this lady tried to cut everyone in line and a salesperson blocked her and its a long story but it ended up with the lady trying to punch the elderly clerk and a lot of namecalling and shit and it was great

session 7 was pretty dope, in case any counselor a are reading, there's a few people that are fucking in the woods right now

this, i think any good parent would not send their kids to mhssc, thinking that its an undercover place for a human trafficking hotspot.

I had such fun during session 6 this year. Going again most likely next year for 2 or more weeks. Shit was ill.

Driving to camp today missed day 1 going to be there tell Thursday going to be sick. Hope to see some old and new faces up there. If u know me you will know we're ill be (tramp)! Who's freestyle couch season 8?

i was just wondering how fast the camp fills up, or does it ever fill all the way up?

i was hoping to go for session 10, but i left it kind of last minute. students and their finances :(

Trust me ur going to be ok. Places like these need more people to create a better community around what they would like to offer. From my guess you will be just fine! And you will have a great time! The tramp here destroys windells one so u made a good choice singing up for mhssc.

How is this melting going? judging from some recent edits ive seen it seems to have slowed down a bit and the snow is about at normal for this time, is that correct?

I was looking at possibly going to windells/mhssc winter camps this year or next year. probably wont happen this year, but have you been? havent gotten a whole lot of first-hand reviews.

I haven't, since I live in WA but I sent them an email seeing if they need me. If I work this year I'll post about it.

But from what I've heard, it's a different experience from summer. A lot fewer campers, and all the camps seem to just ride around more casually. The PNW tends to get a lot of storm systems and precip around winter break as well, but it can be everything from rain to cold smoke.

Honestly though, MHSSC was the best week i've ever had.

Although, a small tow rope for the rails would make MHSSC's park a lot better. HINT HINT

Don't like hiking, and it's a shame because their park is really good for learning
