They suck balls,

Rode them 3 days, they were fine, Seemed like a fun ski. Then i hit a 5ft drop with a nice mellow landing, and POOF, they're done. I had no other skis so i used them for 3 more days where i fianlly hit some rails. I know i shouldnt have, because this voided the warranty.

Here are some pictures taken day after they broke.(before the rails)

First: 2 sidewall cracks

Second: 3rd sidewall crack about an inch away from the other 2.

Third: And the sidewall is bulging out of the ski.

I paid to ship them back because i was told they fell under warranty, and I got an email back saying that they didnt fall under warranty seeing i hit rails, and I had to pay AGAIN to ship them ($40). At this point i was not upset, frusterated, and disapointed. The skis are still with boone and if anyone wants a pair of 171 boone magic sticks go for it.

I'm not saying that the warranty is "unfair" I'm trying to say why would they market the skis as "park" skis if they can't last 3 days on the mountain?

I got a deal on them, and I had no money. I thought they would last me at least half the season, so i could make money and buy new skis.
 
dude that fucking sucks. id rather support guys like on3p or line. they really care about their image on ns and their skis actually last longer than a week.
 
Edge cracks from rails are one thing, but sidewall blowouts within a couple days of riding? That's horseshit. Can't say I'm surprised too much though, I mean it is Boone after all.
 
Big L there is no hate here just sympathy...you seem to have a real problem with NSers. You the only one dishing out the unjustified negativity
 
Ya, but cracks like that arnt great, water can get in and they'll die alot quicker. If i knew they were gonna accept me to ship them back and then hold on to them i would have sent them off...
 
refusing to warranty excessive rail damage is one thing..
refusing to warranty and obvious defect only because someone hit a few rails in completely ridiculous.

I have Boone park superfreaks and I have been skiing them since december really hard, I am talking double 12's on 80 footers and Park city rails everyday, and they are in fine condition. A little topsheet chipping but no big.
 
This. I had a pair for 2 seasons and they finally delamed. Funnest ski ever so I bought another pair. I'm in no way as hard as a skier as you (like 720's). They have been great no edge cracks very light.
 
So basiclly this means that the skis are %100 defective if your dub 12 on 80s and i broke them on a 5 foot drop?
 
probably yes. it sucks. Boone's quality is pretty hit and miss according to the threads on here in the past couple of years. my two pairs have been fine, first pair finally broke after two years. the situation your in is the situation that a lot of kids are in with salomon. some suspects are still holding up from the 08/09 season, yet the 10/11 ones are broken in 2 days. basically park skis break, sometimes easier then others.
 
lol i met a ns-er before who claimed he was pretty high up in the boone ski company, being the demo guy and all and talking so much great stuff about boone...good thing i never bought any from him and ended up with my lines. I love my line skis!
 
Think about this from the perspective of the company--the only way that they can know without a doubt that the breaks aren't from rail damage is if the skis don't actually HAVE rail damage.

It's pretty consistent across the industry that rail damage isn't warrantied. As such, it's not fair to claim that he didn't know this. Hitting rails and then warrantying them wasn't smart; they won't be fixed and the OP seems to understand his part in why this won't be made right.

Companies have specific systems and guidelines to protect themselves from people trying to scam them, and also so that they can be accountable to their customers when things occasionally go wrong. As a customer, it's important to understand the systems they have in place when you purchase.

Earlier this year, I warrantied some Smiths because the face foam was disintegrating. I didn't get a free replacement, but they offered me 50% off a new pair in the next year. Skullcandy has a similar replacement program. I wish more companies offered this, because it seems to be a happy middle ground.
 
Boone= best company ever, their skis are so playfull and never break unless you treat them wrong. You must have seriously abused them for that to happen. I'm sure you accidentally ran them over or something and are just crying to boone because your lazy ass wants skis for free.
 
I'm more surpsied that Boone is still around. I thought they died away years ago after the great Boone shitstorm of 08-09.
 
Nope. Liam's as legit as they come. I'll believe the playful part, and I'm sure some of their skis are perfectly durable, but they have some seriously consistency issues when it comes to quality, there's no way around it.
 
Trust me, when i realized my basically new skis had a crack in the sidewall i was anything BUT lazy.
 
i dont like them either i got like 14 in of missing edge under foot a broken tail. not to happy. srry about that image quality not to good nut i just did a frount flip and fell - broken tail :(
 
You can sacrifice skis and make a fucking bench out of them but you cant warranty when your shitty sidewalls crack in three places? Go die boone your skis blow.
 
I didn't even know what boone skis where until i looked them up... i guess thats a good thing for what you people are saying about them.
