SNOW: freeride/freestyle skiing game

kinda bummed about being out $15, but it is entirely my fault because of lack of computer knowledge. from what i was anle to see though, the game looks so sick.

DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU KNOW YOUR CONPUTER CAN RUN THE GAME

Try contacting steam support and say that your computer doesn't run it, has worked for me before

Anyone else's ski trails not working?

Update: trails still not working. Lighting is permanently dark, even when I change it using +/- on numpad. Something appears to be incompatible with my computer, running Windows vista 32 bit and nvidia 9500 gt

I think there should be less rocks on the next mountain, right now I'll find a sick roller or obvious jump where the landing is filled with rocks . And clothing fit options, as others have also mentioned

Haven't been able to find anything but is Chad's still in the game? I assume the THall Invitational jump is gone as I can't find it.

Basically, last time I played was December and was curious to see what was removed

I couldnt find the invitational, but im pretty sure chads is still there.

could you help me out with finding it? (screenshot or whatever)

also, how do you spawn back on a flag you set as a marker using "T" in free roam?

Pretty sure it becomes a spawn point after you set it.

I will when I switch to windows this evening, booted on macosx atm. If you go to the park, hit f3 to fly and then head right you should find it. Its kind of in between the park and the spawn with the massive cliff drop. Should be facing the dam.

It shows up under the regular spawn menu, but I find that it's usually hit or miss meaning some times it will show up and some times it won't.

ahh word. thanks dudes!

Also THALL invitational is definitely still in the game you just gotta search hard enough. I can't find it every time because Sialia is actually huge so finding stuff is a challenge, which I like.

I took some screenshots showing how to get to chads and T Hall invitational.

1) Go to this spawn point

2) Follow the ridge that the arrow points too

716165.png

3) Keep following the ridge and you'll get to Chad's

716168.png

4) Turn off the ridge early to get to the T Hall invitational

^ as soon as i saw the posts from before, i went to play and found both of them haha thanks though! theres also a THALL looking feature a little further down too

For some reason I can never get enough speed to clear Chads. I always pull a classic hit the top of landing and if it had real physics and bone breaking I would pull a THall and break my ankles

yeah me too! Every time I either smash right into the side or just barely don't clear it, I haven't found a way yet.

And some screenshots from the post...

In the post you guys mentioned purchasing stuff from the store. Will people who payed for it early get any bonuses other than the founder packs and gold/silver/gold set IE some extra money ingame ( if thats what you use) or points or something? I feel as though free to play games make it incredibly difficult to obtain items for free, and one of my favourite aspects of the game is that it has a fair part of the gear I ride it, so I can look "the same" as I do on the mountain, which is dope.

Thanks for the support, and this amazing game you guy have brought us. It will be revolutionary when it finally comes out, build the hype!!!

Also I know you mentioned reworked rail mechanics, but you should reaally try to focus on making rails easier to get to like in skate 3 or to a lesser extent, shredsauce. I have played over 40 hours Id say, but I still really suck at rails and am incredibly inconsistent with them. ( Im sure you guys have already got this covered, but Im just making sure :D)

Hyped for the final product!

I'm thinking about buying Snow but I was wondering if my computer would be ablue to run it. My specs are:

-OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

-8 GB RAM

-Processor: Intel Core I5 3450 CPU 3.10 GHz

-Intel HD Graphics 1.86 GB (Integrated)

My specs are waaay worse than that and I can run it. I have mac tho so idk about windows.

Recently I bought Snow and the game itself runs fine, but when I try to customize the character or actually ski the character glitches out and appears deformed. Anyone else have the same problem before? Could it be graphics card related?

Here are the four major specs of my computer:

-OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

-8 GB RAM

-Processor: Intel Core I5 3450 CPU 3.10 GHz

-Intel HD Graphics 1.86 GB (Integrated)

After Summer? Boooo!

Dude stfu its the semi final release with pretty much every current problem in the game reworked.

Sound, insane map additions, rail mechanics, fully physicalised skis to name a few.

In a way though, I think it would be better if the devs released more frequent builds, allowing us to beta test the game and provide feedback, which is what we payed for after all.

Dude. Calm down, all i said was booo. I just want more frequent updates too.

We'd love to release more frequent updates, but at the same time we need to think what's best for the game's development and future.

Releasing an update means that we need to spend at least 1 week doing nothing but testing and bug fixing the game. In addition, we have to prepare an update video and PR materials to make sure people see/hear about the update. And finally, once it's out there are lots of bugs and issues that distract our developers for another week.

So in all, we can work for 4 weeks on a new build but then have to spend another 2 weeks preparing/putting out fires. We've been doing this as much as possible up until now but feel that over the summer we have a chance to spend a bit more time to get some of these more painful features implemented once and for all.

Hope that helps you understand our thought process :)

I had this problem happen not in Snow but in Titanfall and all I did was re-install my video card driver and it did the trick. I know they are two different games on different engines but it looked exactly like your screen/character does.

Thanks man! I've tried updating my video card driver and it didn't work, but this worked perfectly.

Is there somewhere where there is a new manual for tricks and such, especially with a gamepad?

I have heard that there are now hang drags and screamin seamens?

And a suggestion for the final game: I think there should be a tutorial, or at least a menu where you can see all the key bindings and such.

Overall great game though!

sorry, just realized there arent hangdrags.

also when skiing switch you cant get a lot of speed and can rarely make the jumps

We've been working on a new Lo2 Park and finally have something to share.

Here's an overview of the park, blocked out in our whitebox level.

718901.jpeg

You can see that we have 6 rail features and 3 jump features and at the end a hip-jump with a rail feature too. We worked on this with a professional park designer and think it's a massive improvement over the previous park - all the angles are correct and there are lots of different ways to hit each feature.

Here's a preview of the first rail feature (#2 in the above image).

718902.png

We will post the rest of the features over the next few days :)

Will the new park be in addition to the current one, or will it be replacing it? Looks good so far!!! Oh and will you guys be adding 2015 gear? Like maybe have option of using *for example* 2014 skis or 2015, and keep the old and have new
