SNOW: freeride/freestyle skiing game

@Espen519 - we are working with our brands to always have the latest gear in the game. It won't be perfect at first as we are a small team and have lots of other art stuff to do, but in the future we will have the latest season's gear in game as soon as it's out.

@kbalogh - mac support coming "soon". We're waiting for Crytek to provide us with the tech.

@Tree60$ - that will probably be M5 as we're working on a new UI/main menu to support all of this
 
i love the 3 rails with the gaps between them on those last pics! that cannon rail to rail on the 2nd pic was sick too. look fun!

+1 on the switchup feature, that would be great.

I also think the presses on rails could look better, i dunno if its just me but they look a little awkward

and you should sort of (not completely like THPS) lock on to rails. shredsauce isnt to bad to manually land on the rails. I've found snow is quite a different beast to hit rails though. I just avoid them and hit the jumps
 
M4 will also launch with a completely new rail mechanics. This will include scissoring your skis to lock onto rails as well as some behind the scenes "assistance" to make sure you land on the rail and stay on it.

yes, M4 will release after the summer - we will be premiering it at Gamescom (a german games convention) and probably putting it up on the test server around then too

2 applications you need.

ds3 tool to enable the controller to work on the PC and xpadder to map the keys to button as you want.

i couldnt play until i got the ps3 controller working and its great with one. Makes all the difference
 
So I got a PS3 controller hooked up through DS3 tool and Xpadder, but now the game crashes after like 2-3 minutes? and ideas whats going on SNOW?

Man, to think how far this game has come since its first alpha launch a while back! Thanks so much to the devs for creating this game.

With the test releases, could you add features as you implement them without doing all of the lengthy PR stuff and bug testing, so that you could get a large amount of bug feedback from the players without spending too long on it yourselves.

I dunno, just an idea ;)

Also, I just checked on the website and I really like it. In the promo video, it mentions a closed beta. Sorry if I missed this, but what does it entail and how does one sign up/get invited?
 
On the new website it says "Change the face of the mountain and

adapt the terrain to your style. Add

jumps, rails and other features dynamically

anywhere on the mountain." Is this a feature to come or can I add my own stuff already and have not realized it?
 
When will you release M4 for people who bought starter pack? I realize you are giving to testers first, but hopefully the rest of us can get it soon also, like this week would be legit

damn, I just bought an Xbox 1!
 
M4 is pretty sick.

Its got sound! park is way better, I can actually get speed going switch, buttering is a bit better and the new areas are sick as well.

Rails are fucked though, landing is tougher and skiing BC now is pretty fucked cause of the how the skis can hit shit now, scoring is also messed up.

I also like the wider safety grab you do by grabbing left, but i dunno if that's new.

People who bought the tester pack get the update now. But if you bought the starter pack you dont get the update till next week.

I got the early access for snow, its an awesome game and really fun but getting on rails is hard as fuck, and i now find myself playing shredsauce more

I hate to say it, but you should have checked first to see if your computer could run it instead of blindly downloading it and hoping for the best.
