I like the motion or moving, road trips, change of scenery but I fucking hate packing my car back up lol.

Also got a smaller subaru now so its tighter. Shredding some more stuff I don't really use much.

Hopefully it goes smooth. At least I'm actually chipping away at it and not just stairing at everything and crying lol.

Lol i feel that. I didnt even fully unpack into my room at mammoth this season. Got everything out of my car but tiny tiny room.

Making some progress. Locked myself out of my apartment for a while. That was fun. But we doin it.

Trying to leave town in the morning. Have everything but my guitar and my sheets packed up so she's a smooth exit

Idk what you are trying to say bud. Is "I'm a lesbian" the go to for rejecting someone now? (Can confirm through friends that this one was.) Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment and misery. They always flirty as fuck. They know EXACTLY what they are doing. Quite bothersome.

Getting ghosted by your winter employer for summer jobs and then being sent an eligibility notice to collect unemployment has gotta be one of the most depressing yet most passive-aggressive way I've ever been told by an employer "we don't want you around next year." Enjoy that dumpster fire of a ski area next season then, you kooks.

are you sure those 2 things are related?? wouldn’t you know how you preformed based on the year end.review/exit interview?

We didn't have one. They made some of us sign termination paper work at the end of the season with the promise that "you're still eligible", and then we have to re-interview for our jobs once the season is starting up again. What a fucking junkshow.

You just like what lesbians like. Women. You're getting warmer.

my sister is soooo lazy. last time she was pregnant she only did 7 months before giving birth. this time, she already moved the date up 3 weeks because the baby is small. like just do the 9 months like everyone else.

that's wack my mom did 15 months with me to make sure I turned out right.

Skiing trips seems to be the only type of travelling I'm able to enjoy.

First time in a long time travelling to do something else than skiing and after 3 days I felt like I would rather be at home. Apparently cold-ish water surfing and wing foiling isn't enough.

During all of the beach vacations I have been to as a kid or as little bit bigger kid I just spent waiting for the next ski day. Sitting at at beach and eating all inclusive ice cream was boring. Negative memories from those trips have been a lot stronger than the positive ones. I just wanted to ski.

City vacations have felt equally boring. Who wants to travel to another country just to do shopping and eating in restaurants. Museums can be interesting but for some reason we never went to to the museums I wanted to go. Me having different interests from my mothers side of family(with who most of my travelling outside of skiing has happened) also lead to things I would like to do rarely happening, it has always been about what my sisters wanted to do.

Cruise ships are impossible to enjoy, everything I hate packed together.

This very "tragic" problem might be because of the people I have been travelling with or because being at home and skiing are too hard to beat.

Maybe solo trekking trip would do good for me. Jumping into a van and dissapearing for few months could also be good for me.

Cities would maybe be better alone so I could just wander around the cities looking at interesting architecture instead of being dragged into endless amout of malls.

Can't wait for adulthood so my skiing trips aren't dependent on my father. I don't really want to travel or ski with him anymore but it's the only way for skiing at real mountains to happen. That is kinda eating the fun out of skiing trips too but I have been somewhat able to enjoy them still.

TLDR: I have never really enjoyed travelling outside of skiing and I want to try travelling alone.

no dood! my sister named him Kale. im fairly positive that neither my sister nor her husband have ever had kale in their lives so i don’t think they knew it was a vegetable lol. but other than that, hes a super rad 4 year old. hes really short, but my sister and her husband are both 5’ 4” in the heat so hard to say if he’s so short from being born early or not lol.

There is no such thing as Men's Mental Health Month. Stop promoting people struggling with shit on social media without doing anything about it. Our healthcare system is dogshit and no one is safe.

When is this month?

Few people always ask what about men during womens days and other people always answer that there are plenty of awarness about men and their problems.

I never see this awarness about men and our problems.

Men’s mental health month is completely eclipsed by pride month, but what sucks more is that a lot of people just search for pity instead of actually promoting men’s mental health

As classic bad luck broke my phone last night. Fell out of my pocket in the bathroom and hit the scale and smoked itself. NBD just trying to figure out travel plans.

Luckily booked hotel on laptop. Couldn't shut down my tmobile(some bullshit and a waste of time) borrowed a phon got in and was able to cancel my tmobile, drop my car insurance and get my storage spot set up for my car. Was kind of a scramble more than it needed to be but at the airport hotel now waiting to fly out in the am.

Will prolly fix phone when I get back to America in a few months.

family dog is actively passing away and I’m a 17 hr drive away, a $1,000 flight. My dad is out of town right now so my mom is all alone dealing with this. My brother is hauling ass from 8 hrs away and we can’t tell my sister encode she’s super pregnant and can’t risk being so upset she gives birth early what the fuck Tahoe.

How about just making a mental health month for every gender, shape and size that is not the same month as rainbow people month.

i’d guess that gay men commit suicide at a higher rate than most other demographs so i imagine that its no coincidence with the timing. women threaten to kill themselves at a higher rate than men but men attempt and complete suicide at a much higher rate.

awareness months are cool i guess but really not too effective. the events can bring a sense of community but can often feel disingenuous and lack long term vision and follow through. with suicide and mental health in general, change is going to have to come from a paradigm shift in our media, among other things. currently, fear mongering and blaming others controls a lot of mainstream rhetoric. there is absolutely zero healthy debate, no reconciliation and just a total division of people. (but god damn are the views and money up ?) likewise, when someone feels like shit, they are t going to reach out if they feel they aren’t heard and they will receive combativeness if their views arent shared.

we need to foster a culture of togetherness so we can uplift each other but we are so fuckin far from that. at least on this side of the pond.

Tbh even if it wasn't in June with Pride month it would get the exact same amount of attention

On world men's day, the official UN twitter took the occasion to talk about "men who are allies to women"

Yeah, they really don't give a shit about men

Nearing a crossroads in my life. I turn 29 this upcoming season and have been in the resort game since I was 17-18. While it's given me the best days of my life and it's easy to be like "don't worry about the money, you're living the dream", It just feels like you try to reinvent the wheel every season and "it'll be better for sure this year I'm sure" only to wind up with another shitshow. Also being broke sucks too, and having to work 2nd/3rd jobs on your days-off makes it kind of shit. The notion that these are just "for fun" jobs that only college kids, rich dudes, or retired folk get to enjoy without the stress of deciding between groceries or gas for work for the week gets old after a while. No disrespect to anyone because it can be fun, but it just doesn't pay the bills anymore and it makes me jaded as fuck.

Between poor management, greedy owners and GM's, and everything else in between, you really do start to wish that you could just go back to skiing on your time off for fun to really enjoy it and not feel like you have to prove yourself to others. I enjoyed helping people who were hurt on the ski hill but it also bums you out and I still think about some calls I've ran to this day. Coaching was fun as well but there's also bullshit behind the scenes that makes you upset and you can't do anything about it unless you want to keep your job. But then again, pass prices are outrageous and having access to free skiing is a huge benefit. But Idk if its worth it anymore.

so summer is here. honestly never really liked it because it's just 3 months of me being isolated with my family. I am going to be gone for a few weeks at a summer program. maybe I'll like it. I'm stuck with this girl who I hate but I have to be friends with because she is besties with my rizz prospect.

In-laws! Love mine even though they’re judgemental of my diet (I’m sorry I live an active lifestyle and have good genetics), but last night they got fuckin brash bringing up politics saying college should be free since it’s such a great way to socialize/network and study abroad, feminism… my wife and I have learned to deal with our political differences but I don’t need people coming to my house to stir shit up… can’t wait to kick these freeloaders outta my house!!

Those sound like the dumbest reasons for college to be free. Good arguments can be made but those ain't it.
