Rant About Whatever

There has been way too many monkeys on the road recently. Like today I slowed down from 100 to 80 in a 80 zone and this dumbass middle aged man in his family wagon tailgated me and did some gestures with his hands. What do you want me to do?? Swerve in to a ditch? Press gas and drive off the curve?? Sadly after the curve when the highway began there was too much traffic so I didn't get to play with him and his slow family car. He tailgated everyone who was in front of me too.

Last week someone backed from a side road in to a 2 lane road without looking, That was like a jump scare, almost shit my pants.

do you feel like you were able to gain anything from it? like taking that first step of getting out there and meeting up with someone again? or having a better understanding of what you want in the future?? im sure it wasnt all for nothing. our brains are quick to be negative but im sure there were a lot of positives. also if its the first girl you've seen in awhile, its probably best to get a practice run in first lol. she didn’t even seem like a gay wolf anyway.

this girl ive been seeing loooves jesus and grew up sheltered in the church. she’s so genuine and sweet and caring. jesus must be stoked on her. thing is, im not about going to church every sunday. ive shifted from being a denier of a higher power to just being curious about what different perspectives are out there. i mean every civilization ever has had a form of spirituality/higher power/higher consciousness so it seems naive to ignore that but i’m still not drawn to give up 52 days a year to one ideology claiming to be the singular truth when there’s been 2,000+ years of translations and interpretations.

so i think i need to sit with her and really set the expectations of what im going to be able to commit to and if that aligns with where she sees her future. probably will end our relationship. im more of a stick with it much longer than you should, avoid conflict, and build up resentments towards each other type of guy but this might be better.

Good on ya. Don't be strung around like mr. gaywolf.

Fuck.

It's cool to be back in Africa building parks. People here are chill, good energy to the place. It's coming back to life. Me and the dude I work for still get along like absolute shit. Nothing like working 7 days a week sometimes 14 hours a day to lose money and then consistently get shit on top of it.

Dude left for 6 fucking days. 6 days. And came back and is still a cunt. Woke up to angry whatsapp messages. Like fuck dude.

Anyway I'm thinking of joining ski school. I hate teaching lessons every day but I'm still prolly good at it. It's just a lot of investment in people you never see again. But at least I'd have set hours, 1 day off a week, and not have to work for said douche bag.

Option B is booking a flight home, saying fuck this place, and camping in the woods with my guitar until the season starts at mammoth.

I guess also an option maybe C, is to just travel till my planned flight leaves. I just don't have a ton of $$$ and certainly not making any money here at the moment.

It sucks because it's a cool spot. Idk, some people are just fucking toxic. Idk what it is.

I had a great time otherwise in 2016 and 17. Our parks were immaculately maintained every day. But I clashed with said guy so bad he was 100% the only reason I didn't return in 2018.

If I had known he was gonna sign on last minute I probably would have gone back to Hood for the summer instead.

Was supposed to leave the mountain for 2 days. Friend wanted to leave in the morning. I guess he decided to leave tonight and didn't tell me. So now I'm possibly stuck here.

Season would be going fine other than my work shit. But if you're working 7 days a week and basically on call 24 7. and the guy you work for sucks. That's a lot. Might switch to ski school and ride it out. At least I can go to the bar and drink with the squad, be involved in things.

Right now I'm losing money to be here, to be miserable a lot of the time. And that's kind of fucked. Not my intention when I agreed to come back.

I always wondered how it would be coming back here. I guess now I have my answer. Stoked I can visit some friends after the season. Next time I come I'll just do a holiday and hit a safari or something and skip working down here.

Possibly the grossest thing I've ever seen. In Namibia 10 years ago. Tour buss pulled over on the side of the road. African kids swarmed in a circle by white women. Fuck that shit

maybe find her a pastor that is fully down with the whole omnipotence and omnipresence of god thing. I had a pastor that was in to this when I was going to church camp as a teen. Basically he told me I could be the best Christian ever and never set foot in a church ever again and I would be as fully in the presence of Christ anywhere. Dude straight up like the world is our church. I was a Christian kid and after talking to that pastor I never felt like I needed to go to a church building again. Since then I have had some different thoughts about religion but I still agree with that pastor. I can get spiritual on the chairlift or pull over into the woods. Why should I feel any obligation to go into a church if god is omnipresent?

im biased as i am christian, but if she is a genuine christian than it is 100% worth to just bite the bullet and go to church.. it's just an hour a week and it may grow on you! it is worth it if it means you'll have a faithful woman who can raise your kids well.

and if she's educated on christianity you should ask her why it's the one true religion she should be able to give you a good answer.

Because believing in a book that explains things that are logically and physically wrong and impossible and needs to be cherry picked in order to be valid in modern world is a bit silly.

I was made to stomp on plants to today so I could clean the windows I was supposed to. Not really hyped about it ,Not really the type of environment saving I would rather do. They knew I didn't want to do it :( RIP plants :(

Cuz it is pretty shortsighted advice. Having a conversation with your partner about your beliefs and what they expect from the future is better than pretending you believe something just to make them happy.

Even if he is down with going to church every weekend he should still let her know where he is at when it come to faith/spirituality if he already knows they aren't on the same page.

I grew up in the south. Some of the most judgmental people I’ve ever met in my life were the loudest about Jesus.

I don’t typically make judgements about either side. Christian or atheist - it’s your personal thing.

BUT I have found that usually the ones banging the drum the loudest for Jesus (not in their personal lives but aggressively broadcasting to the world that they are a Christian) are the ones with the most checkered of pasts and/or they are using religion as a shield to cover their unsavory character.

I think he was trying to say it's better to have moral's from religion as to not. It's against the law to lie, steal, rape, murder as well... but when you're brought up believing there's a reason for it, instead of just don't do it. It hits differently. From my experience. It' gives the law a purpose and explanation.

Most people who are "religious" and do these things aren't actually truly religious people, it's a facade. I wouldn't consider suicide bombers or child touchers true religious figures. Both those religions preach against such things. it's the warping of the culture and power of control where the problems deviate from.

There are definitely, 100%, undeniably other and better people to meet.

I suggest you don't smoke weed about it

If it's hurting to talk to her then stop if it's not working out. The faster you cut comms the easier and quicker you'll find someone else.

You gotta be a dumb fucking asshole to get in a wreck on i5 that makes a 10 mile stretch take 50 minutes

parents just got in to seatac after waiting in denver for hours cause of the airline outage. now they have to drive up to bellingham at peak rush hour my dad's gonna be seeing red lmao. honestly it's about time for them to suffer a little after i spent the last 4 years getting shafted by blizzards trying to get to their place for christmas.

anyways i agree and think people who have oopsies during rush hour should be sentenced to the total amount of man hours wasted by the traffic they cause. for example if your texting and driving fender bender results in a 300 car backup for 2 hours then you should spend 300*(2/24)=25 days in jail.
