anyone have any ideas to fix this? really dissapointed as its like my 8th day on them and someone decided to stop on my tail while i was waiting in line for the chair.

is this a g flex situation? I just did a core shot repair and it is holding up well but this seems pretty fucked.

tails of my moments look similar, so far they haven't been majorly affected by the chipping

No way that’s from someone just stepping on them

no like they were skiing into the line and tried to hockey stop then slid into the tail. there was some momentum behind the hit but by the time the collision happened it was a little bump. My only guess to cause that much damage is that the edge was perfectly lined up to chip everything off.

fuckin sucks cause I feel like these skis are falling apart every day i take them out, either that or i got the shittiest luck ever.

What kinda damage you have on the franks so far? Ive been on mine since around christmas and have a handful of edge cracks and topsheet damage but thats it for the most part and I ride my shit pretty hard

Its only on one ski, but 2 core shots, and the bases are so chewed up. I know thats not the end of the world but it looks like ive skied 2 seasons on them. No edge cracks yet, but I have only ridden park hard 2 out of 8 days total.

Also noticed cracks where the edges stop on the noses, almost like im nose pressing too hard which i find difficult to believe.

but like i said 75% of the damage is on one ski so maybe it is a misbuild.

I just know i put my ON3Ps through so much more abuse and they held up for almost 4 seasons. Maybe thats unfair to compair them too tho idk.

Im just salty cuz i payed good money for em

Yeah they arent cheap but a damn fun ski. doing my best to stay on top of repairs hoping to make them last

Got an X-ray on my knee and it looked good. With just the physical tests, the doc thinks the ligaments are all intact! Probably a bone bruise or maybe a minor meniscus tear that shouldn't need an operation. I just need to take it super mellow for a while (he said I've been kinda pushing it just by walking around in the snow). Hopefully it gets better in a few weeks and I won't need an MRI

Taking avy 1 course this weekend. Pretty excited to learn and do something new related to skiing. Also nervous for the same reason.

Got to show my family CO for a few days and they love it soooo much. Grand County is an amazing place and I hope to stay here longer than the winter.

Shout-out to the Californian Subaru stuck on the road in LCC proving the joke. Also to the people who park in avalanche zones with tickets on their windshield as well as people parking too far off the shoulder who get stuck in deep snow. There's always some entertainment on the drive down.

What's the longest someone has Tokyo Drifted onto a rail? Like how absurdly long has someone gone down a hill sideways just to eventually hit the rail?

I've done the land sideways off a rail, Tokyo drift the 45ft then hop on the next one bc it was so unbelievably icy.

Beer snobs will really tell you they don’t have a problem because they drink for the flavors but you offer them a non alcoholic IPA and they refuse to drink it

So it’s not all about the flavor ?

Honestly non/low alcohol IPAs taste bad. I usually prefer beers in the 4-5% range and don't mind some NA beers. It just doesn't work for IPAs though

If they're under 6%, they're just not right

How do fix this shit?

I hate edge compressions. I did it to a pair of skis on the third day on a massive hidden tree stump. They never skied edge to edge correctly after that... Best ya can do is epoxy to keep moisture out and start shopping for new skis. Even with a perfect epoxy job, the integrity is gone and will slowly get worse...

All women’s sports for that matter. Women are good for sex. Nothing else.

There’s a reason Asian cultures put their daughters up for adoption.

Seems society has always been bent on fighting against the truth of nature. Why put up such a fuss that women are equal to men? If it were true it would be self-evident. The fight that must be made is evidence enough that there are inarguable differences between men and women.

Blow me, pink names.

i stopped having the energy to do that shit on a daily basis lol. A red snake coming down LCC at 9pm really does take the fun out of it. That place was the absolute shit when they sold chair-only passes. Skied some of the best spring storm cycles ever in College.

Friends got out of the canyon at 10 last night. They were waiting at a bar for traffic to unwind but had been waiting since 5:30.

What's more difficult and what's more fun, steep gullies or east wall at a basin?

East wall is fun for the views and feeling of exposure. The notch’s ski pretty great. Never skied the gullies.

I’ve found the gullies to be a little more difficult based on steepness. On top of that, you’ve gotta hike back to the lift about twice as long after your legs are cooked from ripping. Upper part of gullies keeps good quality snow for the most part too

both are excellent but different.

Noticed that three quarters of of my rail clips from this year were on tubes so went and got 3 on handrails yesterday. Handrails are scary but I'm not sure they're any harder to do tricks on than tubes.

you can't cheat swaps as much, gotta be closer to 90. kids be doing 5050 swivel between straight and 30 degrees and calling them switchups on tubes.

I forgot how much fun skiing groomers with sharp edges can be...to bad I'm about to detune the shit out of them.

This is true but I almost never cheat swaps unless I'm doing double FS
