What's everyone's favorite Nimbus movie? Mines Enroute: Hokkaido or After The Sky Falls

I love the skiing in Contrast but the interviews are cringe. En Route Hokkaido, En Route Oregon (I think, the one with Sammy C and EP hitting BC jumps), and Idea are great too

The attitude in freestyle skiing has evolved so much since its inception. Starting around 2016ish the low-t granola skier archetype became the sport’s mascot.

Dudes like Sam Lobinsky and Wabs blew up, and the caravan of scrawny, pitchy white boys followed suit.

When yall carve into jumps to spin, do you guys end up taking off going straight or going at a slight angle?

I can only carve 3's rn but i carve up right side and land far left of the takeoff so I take off with a little bit of an angle

any up and coming skiers with a max hill/banks gilberti/Daniel Hanka tighter pants style or is everyone parachute pants these days?

Newschoolers is fucking soft, man. I post valid opinions and people downvote me into oblivion.

Ready? Watch this:

Track pants aren’t unique stylistic substitutes for snow pants if everyone is wearing them. By wearing track pants, you’re submitting to cultural norms—not expressing yourself and your tastes like you think you are.

Wearing track pants in the park is tantamount to the wave of pastel shorts and Nike high socks that has dominated jock style trends for like a decade, and is still considered standard among Brads and Chads.

Prediction: 18 downvotes.

Found a pair of STH2 16s in black and gold for cheap. Trying to remount my ON3P Woodsmans because the Kingpin 13's just aren't enough binding for the ski if that makes sense.

STH's really are the best binding ever though. Fuck Shifts and Strives.

are strives really that bad? I'm concerned because I too am an STH boy and I'm wondering if I need to start stocking up on STH

I think it's more that Snowbird is the only resort in the cottonwoods without parking reservations. If they don't switch to Alta's system next year, I'm buying an Alta pass instead

The people at Snowbird were pretty dickish yesterday too. A lot of tourists getting a rude awakening that they're not great skiers and locals mad that there were so goddamn many tourists

can't lie I seriously think that Lucas Catania is in large part responsible for the hordes of people coming to Snowbird and I don't like it.

Alta is publicly mad at Snowbird too right now.

Strives are great. People who hate on them haven’t skied them.

the strive 16 literally Shares the heel with the sth2. I have both. I prefer my strives.

Got an X-ray on my knee and it looked good. With just the physical tests, the doc thinks the ligaments are all intact! Probably a bone bruise or maybe a minor meniscus tear that shouldn't need an operation. I just need to take it super mellow for a while (he said I've been kinda pushing it just by walking around in the snow). Hopefully it gets better in a few weeks and I won't need an MRI

Was actually looking for any injury posts in this thread lol. Currently 2 years post op from an ACL MCL tear I did while skiing. Got back on skis last season and definitely a little mental hump. This year actually have been getting confidence back and are looking forward to glade skiing again. From experience be strict with your PT if you end up having to do that and focus on some single leg exercises! Again good luck with your recovery!

Yea dude I was pretty good about PT for a while, then went thru a slump when my insurance stopped paying for visits and I wasn't getting jobs, so I started drinking a bit more and didn't do PT on my own.

When snow started falling I couldn't resist the temptation and tried one casual lap on PVC tubes with the homies and landed a bit backseat on a back 2, it hurt so bad. It was a huge motivator to start getting into the gym to do PT on my own and stopped skiing for a few months. I got strong again and really focused on the basics of just skiing well and smoothly out of the park. Made me enjoy every half inch of fresh snow, every nice turn, just being out in the mountains with friends. By spring I was back in the park, taking it really easy and focusing on style. I've gotta say last year was the least number of days ive skied in a decade but it was my favorite season ever.

This fall I couldn't afford a gym membership and really didn't do a good enough job of pushing my fitness. I didn't really think much of it because i could run a mile faster than I have since high school and still do single leg squats. I also have been skiing better than ever and without any reservation. I guess skiing two hard days in a row was still too much for me.

This little injury has really shaken me up, like how can I ever trust doing a cork 7 again if doing one of the best ones I've ever done still injured my knee? I'm almost 25, my body is not rubber anymore. I want to be ripping tricks into my 40s and 50s for sure. That definitely means huge focus on the "pre-T" all year round. The motivation to start that is back and I have eased into exercises. But it's still hard to say no to skiing. Filming for people definitely helps with skiing more reserved, but the temptation to go big is strong.

If I have to get surgery (still not totally off the table) knowing the process and where I'm at in life now will make the recovery much better. I feel very inspired to take it more seriously and avoid weed/alcohol more.

Thanks for the wishes and I hope you have some good skiing and remain injury free :)

My brother landed his first cork 7 on flat ground when he was like 11 years old but hasn't tried it on skis for 10 years. He finally got hyped up enough to send it today and stomped it first try. His best friend who also has them perfect on tramp but never committed to one on skis landed his first try. Big hype day until my bro lost his ski on takeoff for one try and possibly broke his arm...

Turns out, you are just as bad at predicting as you are at posting.

Was talkin with Scott at ON3P. They just switched over to Strive's for their demo fleet from Attack's. Everyone is satisfied. Binding is binding.

Moment uses the strive for their demos as well now. They’ve been pleased.

Coming down to SLC to visit a highschool buddy, super stoked gonna be my first time there and the weather window looks good. Though I don’t have anyone to ride with Thursday, anyone here trynna rip with me that day and show me around? I can ski anything and I’m trynna get after it. I can probably scrounge up a pass to most of the resort there too, shoot me a DM if you’re interested.

Homie at work said I would enjoy these cuz it was his Patrol ski last season. Never heard of Harvest but they're a local Steamboat company and im all about small brew companies. 181cm, 90 underfoot with rockered tips and tails and zero camber. Could be a fun park/spring ski

There was one dude in my highschool that skied a pair of harvests. Seemed like a fun ski.

My brother's teammate got a pair several years ago and didn't really like them a whole bunch, but he did seem to like skis with more camber so take it with a grain of salt. I think they seem like they could be fun but never rode them

They seem interesting. Do any of you guys remember KLINT Skis at all? Tanner Rainville was their pro for a while, but they remind me of a rockered zero camber park ski I had when I was like 16/17 that was super fun to ride.

Lol I forgot about those, I saw a pair of them on marketplace a while ago

Yeah they had a super aggressive marketing campaign and sponsored a ton of small skiers. Never saw a pair IRL

pretty sure they still exist, they stopped for a few years and I think someone bought the company. They had one shape in their older fleet that looked really fun, the pure i believe. Friend of mine has had a few pairs and they hold up really well for him.

Today I tried a 3 off a little jump but caught my tail on the lip and hit my head pretty hard. For like 15 seconds afterward I felt really lightheaded and dizzy and everything was super bright. Once I got back up I went to the side of the run and laid down for a few minutes until I felt ready enough to ski down to the base. I can still remember everything that happened that day and I felt normal for the rest of the day, I also asked this ski coach to check out my pupils real quick and he said everything looked normal. Do you guys still think I should see a doctor?
