Official Tahoe Thread

So I'm thinking that since the team has little interest in park riders (at least thats the feeling I get) we gotta all get up to the mountains. I got a pass to Squalpine and Boreal, and always gonna be looking for people to roll up with. Gonna be trying to get up to Boreal as much as possible in the early season, probably leaving campus around 3 most days once they open and depending on the set up. COLLEGE PASS SUPER BETA get it quick if you havent already $130

okay so who is doing the winter sports club at unr?

I got an email today about paying money and practices?

When I asked at the club fair about training, they said only the race team will be training preseason... so i'm confused.

i dont think im going to, id rather just organize a meet up of NS'ers somewhere and chill with the people i actually like, not sledders and snowball fighters

Sounds great to me. I lost interest in the club pretty damn quickly as soon as fees got thrown into the mix, even for members who aren't planning on doing any organized competition.

yeah i feel the same way.the only thing is that i want to hit up all mountain and not just boreal and take park laps all day...

plus i want to meet some girl skiers since all of crew went off to college somewhere else.

ughhhh i don't know what to do.

huh I didn't realize unr had snow club that was all shitty like that. i have some homies that go to unr and that are raw skiers

i help run the club at sac state and we're pretty dope haha

So I talked to the freeski chair the other day at UNR, Competition dues are $150 and you have to compete in a minimum of 4 comps. (3 at diamond peak, one at sugar bowl? i think thats what he said) They compete in the usasasaas?? colegiate against sac state, sierra nevada, other nor cal schools.

I'm not huge on competing, and would much rather film. But theres some info.

We have not determined if we will remain open past today. 60 degrees + large crowd + early season snow pack = we want to make sure we can offer as good an experience as possible given the conditions. We know its early early season but dont want people to drive up for a muddy mess on sunday and be disappointed if we have the foresight to prevent it.

We will make a decision in the next few hours.

i know! exciting! im going down to mammoth tonight, but pretty much every other weekend, i will be at boreal! by the way, does anyone have the college pass there?

NEWSCHOOLERS OF TAHOE: NEED PLACE TO LIVE, ASAP.

I can't stay living in my place up at Tahoe Donner (it's a temporary spot, anyways). Any of you folks know of anyone who needs a roomie for the winter, or who has a floor to crash on for at LEAST a week? I will pay with food, money, high fives, hugs, portraits, or bootwork.

yeeeee snow!!!

I'll probably be up at Boreal a couple times next week since I'm back from school. Already plan on going this Friday for the $15 college day, hit me up!

even if there was just a decent tube thrown on the ground taking up 30 ft of the run... doesnt even need a lip, i would be stoked
