Official Tahoe Thread

Was it super icy too or was the snow alright for night skiing? I wanna make it up again and night skiing is half off a day pass but if it's nothing but ice it doesn't sound fun.

I know this is a long shot, but does anybody on here want to buy a Pretty Lights ticket off of me? It's this Wednesday 11/27 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno. I just found out I can't make it anymore.

Original price is $33 and I'll sell it for $30 (hopefully).

Let me know!

got there around noon and stayed till like 7

winds were so strong that it blew all the snow away. plus they decided to make a shit jump and get rid of bunch of shit so it sucked

this, and how much skiable terrain is open? also planning on going friday but i get bored lapping the same features all day. having not been on skis yet this year i'm not too worried about park

onn their facebook page they claim 7 total features and are open top to bottom. i know for a act there is at least one jump in the 7 features and multiple rails!

I should be at rose and or boeal over thanksgiving break, so lets be pals

fuck pnw stealing all our moisture ahai was so looking forward to that 2' possible dump but nope

a friend of mine rented out a cabin for the upcoming weekend so we could ski at sierra but i don't think it'll be open. fucking great.........

How are N* jumps?

I'll be up there Friday-Sunday, not sure where to go since it will be all white ribbon shit, unless of course this storm(s) deliver.

If heavenly has jumps by end of this week I'd rather go there since my place is in SLT.

i went to northstar yesterday. jumps were pretty good, but small. (obviously). two in a row.. measured from the end of the kicker to the knuckle, i'd say 12 and 20. just a guess though.

There will be no jumps by the end of the week. Maybe next tuesday. Still need to blow a bunch more snow in Ante Up. It will open with jumps though.

the gondola does at least. other stuff will be open on some windy days once there is more snow and it isn't gondola only accessed skiing.

Kirkwood will run 6 in 45mph winds. (or at least it used to...)

Heavenly closes Sky just about whenever it blows over 25...

My friend said rose is getting dumped on right now, clear night downtown where I live. Should be fun tomorrow

I'm pissed off that all of my friends got the Squaw/Alpine pass and I got the Heavenly/Kirkwood/Northstar pass. I wanted to go so bad today and tomorrow.

Anyone in South Lake/Stateline area know of an inexpensive long term rental? larger studio or 1br preferred...came for thanksgiving and want to stay for the winter now...

Horizon Casino's weekly rate is 30 a night. If you stay a month they'll give you the tax back so its only 900.

They don't advertize this rate however you might need to ask and negotiate a little. Finally don't dilly dally around getting in there with holidays coming up since they will tell you to do one if you think you can check in December 20th and stay through NYE and pay that.

god damn it was cold as fuck this weekend.

working on the pow day was fucking brutal but it's the early season pow so i'm not about to fuck my expensive pow skis up.

yes it was. pipes froze in the crib and the battery in my car did as well. I moved too TC 4 years ago and don't have any memory of it being this cold this early in the season.

Today was fine. Thats a cold day by Tahoe standards too which is lovely all you need is an extra layer. Yesterday was hell. We get less than 20 brutal days a year here which is nice there's literally only 10-15 days where its frigid and life sucks.

I was shocked when I went outside that it wasn't worse was really bracing for it being awful since I had to make a 10 minute walk.

High 20s low 30s and sunny isn't cold this weekend and monday were hell though.
