what's the park been like the past season or two? haven't been for a couple seasons and am hoping to get back for a bit this winter
 
NSer day, we need to actually make this happen haha.
the parks been decent, Rockstar park now, couple of decent jumps, but it always takes them so long to get it dialed in...
 
For those who aren't aware, Edelweiss has a booth set up at the Ottawa Ski Snowboard & Travel Show at Landsdowne. They are handing out promo cards with deals for season passes on it.

well last year they had a tiny step down, followed by a 15-20 foot step-up, real good for new tricks.then the four jump line went like this25 foot step down30 foot step down 35-40 foot stepover/step up, kinda weirdlarge 45 foot step down, dubbed the 'fokus pokus'
the rails were pretty good too, but everything was kinda late getting set up. the main park guy said that there water reserves got messed up, so they couldnt blow as much snow as early as they wanted. hopefully this year they dont have that problem, and the jumps will be bigger sooner!
 
Could someone please make a post once the big park is open and you guys have figured out an NS day? I live 2 1/2 hours away so I'm not all that up to speed with this kinda stuff - would be stoked for an NS day!
 
Haha atleast one person does! Yeah it is pretty far, but my dad said he's willing to drive me down at least a few times this season, so I guess I'll make one of those times the NS day! Plus we make trips down to Ottawa every once in a while anyways, so the extra half hour or so isn't much.
 
As usual I'll be working a few nights a week on the patrol up there. Don't be shy, I am always down to ride with people, and usually have a ton of SN stickers on me

I was saying WE DO have a gaper day, and its on the same day as geeks love tweeks. i never said naything about NS day, but i guess that would be pretty cool.
 
Hahaha I'm impressed you can name our local "hill".... Where you from? But yeah, it's pretty lame when you can stand at the top and see the bottom...

@Bogez: Yeah, it's about 1-1/2 hours away, but my dad's not willing to drive me that far twice a weekend, so I'm just stuck here with a tiny hill. Their park was actually kinda disappointing last year though, so it's nbd.
 
im from ottawa, but my aunt lives in deep and her three kids all used to teach at mount martin so thats where i learned to ski.
 
as of right now I will be patrolling 2 nights a week. There are only ever 2 or 3 of us on, and the yellow jacket is pretty obvious. Skis always have NS stickers on them, though not sure what I'll be rocking this year

If I am not patrolling it'll be a Black and Blue First Drop setup

I'm deffinatly going to hit Edelweiss up this season. I haven't been there in like 2 years, so I'm pretty excited to see what the park is going to look like. I'll see you all out there.
 
fuuck, i wish i went to the ski show. I could have saved a good $10 on my night pass, ohwell.

Cant wait for the season, first ski season where i have a license so looks like ill be making it up alot this year. Thank god for $99 night passes.
 
I might be hitting this place up if i can get a ride from carleton res.

Will see how it goes.
 
The new quad is a fixed grip. Will likely open just before Christmas.

The EDL park will continue to be a Rockstar sponsored park this season
