Official Edelweiss Thread 10/11

Yea, tonight was the last night of night skiing. Day skiing is still

going. everything was in pretty rough shape this evening, but once they

get the groomers out and since it'll be mostly sunny this week they

should hopefully get everything nice again for some sweet spring riding
 
pretty good probably. I've only seen one person get caught using a night pass during the day, and that was by Larry. he's the older guy who tends to keep an eye out for that sort of thing.

they might have some sort of a deal for night pass holders too. I've heard of places doing that for when they shut down night skiing, but I really don't know.
 
i really cannot possibly understand why they are closing tomorrow when they have the conditions and snow that they do..... its still cold as normal....
 
Wait... Edelweiss the last day of the season for Edelweiss is tomorrow? Damn, I thought you guys still had some decent base...
 
from my point of view we DO...the whole park is open like normal, and pretty much the whole hill is running like normal....yet they close tomorrow... :S
 
yea this week they're not open. sucks. my guess is that they're not making enough money to stay open even if the conditions will be fine. at this time of the year it seems like it's mostly season pass holders who ski and not very many of them at that. so when they have more employees at the hill then skiiers they're not going to be inclined to stay open.

they still say next weekend they might be open

although I'd imagine one could always go hike some rails or something. I couldn't see them minding much.

I have no idea what the park is like, but hopefully I'll make it up at least Saturday!

I think fortune and possible cascade are going to be open so you might as well go there and actually ski.
 
Hands down! I actually enjoy shredding a little fortune gnar once and a while. They still have a ton of snow too. LAME and I ripped a midnight line down sparks last friday night. Fun stuff!
