just wanted to shout out to everyone who was up wednesday night, specifically austin and your crew. it was a beauty night boys. I'll be up this saturday be sure to give me a shout
Just want to say Thanks for all the hard work of the Edelweiss Park Crew. I have had a pass there for 3 years and they always have the Best Park in the Area.
heading up right now, should be there in about an hour! holla at me, ill be wearing a seafom moment jacket, blue oakley pants and riding 09 salomon dumonts
Conditions are great and the park build up is complete. I think we are at about 20 features, and the boys are working their asses off to keep everything maintained.
they took that out. good thing too, it was much too close to the bottom of the booter. if someone effed up on the landing they could easily have plowed into it. unless they put it back in somewhere after this last Tuesday
here are a few pictures of some of the jibs. lighting was super flat so It's kinda hard to make out any snow features. next time I'm up if the lighting isn't so bad I'll get pictures of the rest. skiing is E.C.
this is the mini-pipe with the jibs on either side. again, really flat light
I'll be up today for a bit in the evening. Orange pants, riding this years Alpha 1's. I'll be doing mostly jumps but I'm down to do laps with others so say hey if you see me, name's Rob
Sounds legit... Hopefully I can make it up there soon. Was gonna go last week but things didn't work out... Any changes in the park since the pictures were posted, or are things still pretty similar?
yea i was up last night and all the jumps are looking just as good as they did before in my opinion. The park was actually great, i dont think i hit ice once. Probably do the fact that it was almost empty all night but still i wasnt expecting much after that fucking thaw.
best day this year. not for the park, but for some reason the day patrol closed Strief and all the runs on far skiers left. from 1-6 all I skied was pow. not too shabby for March at Edelweiss
Was up last night... Park is set up nicely but underneath this new powder base sits some nice hardpack ice. The last jump has a really hard inrun, but the plus side is you can keep speed.
dunno if it's true, but I heard a rumour night skiing will be done soon as the Ontario March break finishes and day skiing will be finished April 2nd. So come out while you can!
but the park guy said they'll be keeping some jibs open and a jump for as long as hey have enough snow. so probably till June
Hmm so is there still a good base? There's a lot of rain in the next few days, but do you think it would still be worth it to go on Saturday or Sunday? I wanna make it out atleast once before the end of my season haha.
^ no, they still have a ton of base in some spots. take the big jump, that's over a mini little gully thing. there's a solid 30-40 feet of snow from the top of that jump to ground.
the park guy said they'll keep pushing the snow together into one strip with a few jibs and such and they'll have something right to end of may possibly june. but there's a ton of base right now still
