Newschoolers, Lets see your Whips!

978309.jpegSki box is currently residing on the boring whip, but the Irocs getting snows mounted on the factory rims rn. cant wait to show up to the hill in her.

Older models were twin turbos more specifically in Audis. Always called a single turbo a big turbo. This is just a 1.4L TSI DOHC 16V. Doesn't accelerate nearly as fast as my 2002 V6 Honda Coupe SE, but that was an automatic 2.3 L 200 HP SHOC 24V. I literally get double the MPG in the VW.

Definitely enjoying a manual more, but nowhere near the speed of the automatic V6 Honda.

Gotcha, I’m very familiar with the platform I have a mk7 GTI, wasn’t sure if it was an upgrade. Typically “big turbo” means you have an aftermarket turbo upgrade

r u putting up ur 500 yes or no? or r u too broke?

Yea you're def right I wish I did have some aftermarket parts. The GTI is sick as hell man and a great car for the mountains. I was considering it, but I got this used for an insane deal... had under 20K miles and only a year old. Was able to get almost no APR since I put up about half the cost upfront. How you like your GTI?

Love it, had it for 2 years. Got it at 16k, one owner lease vehicle. SE with performance and lighting package. I have mine pretty modified but still get 30-32mpg on the highway.

Finally got the tundra all built up, ready for a good summer! Going to get another pop up camper like I had on my previous Tacoma once we actually save some money back up. Hah

Brightlines off of Amazon. They mount about 1/4" too far back to work perfectly with that roof box (xl thule) unfortunately. Have to stop the gate from opening all the way or it hits.

WHICH FUCKING CROSSBARS DID YOU BUY THAT FIT YOUR VEHICLE???

Maybe you can program the gate not to lift all the way? I knew I could on almost all my cars last 10-15 years with power liftgates.

Thank you! I have been wondering what to get for the longest time.

New whip to go with the landcruiser! Subaru Impreza from 1993. She looks clapped and has an ej18 but none of that matters. Already started stripping the paint and am gonna respray in Toyota Quicksand. New struts, new tires and rims are on order. Long term plans are gonna be sweet though! Thinking of making her an RSTI with a motor swap and tossing a six speed in there along with wrx axles and brakes. Best part, gonna chop off the rear hatch and weld in a roll cage to make er a Ute! Can’t wait to get this thing underway in January. More updates when I start doing stuff.

275lb-ft and no trac is pretty hectic in the snow, definitely underestimated how much this thing would hate going in a straight line

Double post but this just arrived. It’s not a Volvo [tag=247676]@SendyMcSendyface[/tag](they didn’t want to deal) but found this 320d xdrive m touring for a good deal so here it sits in the driveway. It drives nice and it’s torquey as fuck with the diesel, just need to remind myself, and the wife to not put petrol in it.lol
