Newschoolers, Lets see your Whips!

Boat for scale. Rented this yesterday. Clutch pedal is so incredibly stiff when I got back in my G after I was literally kicking my clutch pedal through the floor. Those Hellcats have so much tech and such a loud roar, makes my car feel like nothing but a lil boost rocket with 3 pedals and a bose sound system.

come to think of it, I DID find my car in the bottom of a cereal box.

Hows it compare to the G in a straight line and in corners?

Super sick. I just picked up a very similar car after a very similar search. No engine mods, just the Maxton front lip and the whisbar/yakima rack system that was actually a complete project to track down and get parts for.

Everytime I see an Evo in traffic, I roll my window down to listen and I get the feels that I bought the wrong car. Then I go on craigslist, am reminded of all the stuff that breaks and remember I bought daily to be a DD first, racecar second

Yeah, I just sold my Evo X with tasteful mods. I can honestly say it was a great purchase and DD for a long time, but it was just as good, if not better to sell. I'm going to have to do really well with money in the future to get something that I will have as much fun in. I definitely miss driving it already, but the only thing about the car itself I miss is the leather recaros.

If you want to remind yourself what a money pit Evo's can be, join some of the facebook groups. Shit is absurd.

Hey at least evos dont always require a full engine swap like subarus, not that they're reliable but...still dreaming of owning an X over a lot of cars, pretty practical, while being a unit in the twists, and sounding stupid good.

Oh I know. Everytime I drive next to an Evo and roll my windows down to hear it, I go home and search craigslist for Evos—then I see everything broken on all of them and remember why I didn’t get one.

the engine swap thing with Subaru’s is true. Building a motor to make power isn’t so bad, but needing a transmission swap on top is ridiculous

Well my bosses at the detail shop picked up this thing yesterday, very happy for them and to be able to walk in every morning to see it along with whatever other nice cars they're working on.

I’m renting this M4 vert in LA right now. The baby blue on red interior is fucking stunning, handling is fantastic and S55 burbles are pretty good but N54 sounds better and too much tech as usual.

when you roll up to a red light whether in gear or neutral, the car shuts off to save gas I guess—takes a bit to get used to and if you’ve driven BMWs chances are you have PTSD from the other times aBMW suddenly shuts off..

It also vibrates the steering wheel if it thinks you’re cutting someone off, or if you’re switching lanes even if the next lane is empty if there’s someone in the furthest lane it thinks you’re gonna crash. Kinda stressful especially driving around in Los Angeles where you have to drive aggressively. Also gives you a flash on the dash if you’re tailgating someone.

I rented this convertible to see if either I decide they’re awfully impractical, or maybe my wife will still like it and here I am still wanting a N54 vert

My favorite Ferrari. The 812 is badass but F430 is timelessly beautiful.

Yeah things really damn pretty, still think the 458 is my favorite modern ferrari but I'm happy my boss finally reached a big goal of his. Hopefully get to drive it soon but wont be surprised if I don't.

Got a Cherokee th last summer and last week destroyed the paint on an overgrown road I couldn't back out of. It was inevitable but so soon. Bummer.

It's just the first ones , there will more but being so shiny and ex frickin spensive is the nauseating part.

Honestly if I had to do it over I'd a bought a 95ish and paid someone to go thru it and get it reliable but life goes on.

Just hit #6 on cans tonight, 4 claws, fuck the price for 12 tho, sale price $15 but tax close to $19, worth.

Finally picked myself up a 2016 GT-R. 16k miles one owner private party from a gentleman in Georgia. Im pretty happy with it. I've put about 2k miles on it over the past couple months, the small quirks are starting to come out. Hopefully a louder exhaust helps with the small rattles and such.

I feel like i havent seen you post in years since you were building tuners and shit. Congrats on this thing though, i don't care if people say theyre overrated or overpriced, i drove an 09 one with a loud ass exhaust and holy fuck was that car addicting, would love to see how a more modern one feels.

Thanks man! I'be just been grinding and managing a dealership as well as doing my tuning business. 25 has been a crazy year so far! This is one of the threads I stay "active" in. But here comes ski season!!!

Still have the GTI from last page. Still need to install the twintercooler and dogbone insert. Also have drilled rotors and red stuff pads that will go on with next oil change.

So much fun pulling on subie bro’s

Have really enjoyed the mazda cx5. For an SUV the handling is great, AWD is solid, just enough room for 5 people and ski gear but still small enough to park in the city. This is also my first car with fancy stuff like radar cruise control, cross traffic sensors, and auto high beams. While its pretty quick I do miss having at turbo for that 60-80mph passing acceleration.

I forgot about this thread! Traded my WRX for this 6 speed 340ix M sport. The upgrade only cost $8k and car had half the miles of my Subaru, not to mention all the better features. BMW depreciation (and Subaru resale) is retarded.

Absolutely can’t wait for ski season with this. Already have downpipe, fueling and now tempted to get at least a ported turbo right off the bat. Need to wrap or dip it before winter. I cant wait to bring shame to BMW community

Still whipping the old landcruiser. Swapped out the box/tent combo from a few pages back to a platform rack. Also just put on sway bar quick disconnects and have a winchplate for behind the stock bumper in the works.

I currently drive a 2003 Chevy Avalanche. It's big and squishy and slow and has many electrical gremlins and leaky and the AC doesn't always work and there this weird feedback that comes through the speakers that varies directly to the throttle position, and it's kinda rusty and rattles a lot.

Hoping to drive it until it is dead and in the meantime set aside some money so that I can replace it with a sensible, modern, safe comfortable car and a super simple, 2wd, manual, 2 door small truck, ideally a 1990's Toyota.

My main whips are bikes tho, I probably drive my truck like 2 days a week

oh yeah, and it only cost me $1250 (it's nice having pro friends).

yeah no, this bike is not worth 8 grand, found the exact same model and unless you've injected liquid diamonds into the frame. it's a cap. found for 2,700 max

Sold my beloved Tacoma that I posted above. Going with a big boy truck for the future camper setup. Also going to change this thing cosmetically a ton. Wheels, tires, TRD pro grill, etc

Just bought this ‘07 4Runner a couple weeks ago. Was driving a 2000 Subaru forester for a few years, and got a call from my brother while I was living out of the state this summer that it was on fire on the freeway. So I bought the goat as soon as I got back to Utah first week of September. Lifted her up, got some new wheels and tires on her. Excited to see what else happens to it.
