Newschoolers, Lets see your Whips!

Picked this up for wife’s daily, hated how often the V8 F150 was used as her daily. Came in just a couple days before Biden signed the new bill so was able to get one of the last tax credits—vehicle no longer qualifies under new EV credit cuz made in Germany (they will be made stateside soon though).

NGL, it’s great for a little short distance work daily but EVs kinda suck. It’s like: 280 miles of range—as long as you’re going exactly the speed limit, range loses 70 miles if u go 80MPH. Snow tires? They drop 50 miles of range. Running heat or AC? Yep, subtract 60 miles… Now I get why no Tesla has ever raced me on way to/from mountains. I may only get 250 miles on a tank of e85 in my BMW but at least I could go 100-130 and still make it to the mountain and back on one tank, fuck a speed limit

Have a family friend who ranted about how she lost heat and radio coming back from cheyenne in the winter in her tesla and how it was all their (wyoming's) fault for not having the infrastructure for he to charge. EV's are great but if they're your only car and you're trynna make a 200 mile round trip in the winter you're gonna have a bad time lol
 
I’ve got three now… rent out the white 4Runner on Turo, just got the Tundra, and now I’ll be building up the grey 4Runner into an off-road/adventure rig.

its actualy 2500lbs?! kinda impressive seeing its 3,5 meters long

I can fit 4 cars in the garage 2x2 style, but its kinda snug and not so easy to walk between etc then... with this car up front, LOTS OF SPACE ;)

Will take a pic in garage once I ... get to use my garage, so much shit in there right now.

Love it. Complaints about the infotainment are blown way out of proportion. If you're using radio stations, navigation, constantly messing with settings, etc, it can get frustrating, but if you use CarPlay like 99% of people will, it's intuitive and easy to adjust to. Power wise, it's basically a stage 1 MK7 from of the factory with better AWD and handling. 6MT is solid and worth getting IMHO.

I can't believe this is still a thing; I remember 2016 and older VW cars having the most garbage infotainment system. One of my friends had to reset it multiple times a day lol
 
Whip 1, the project. 2001 2.5RS. My pride and joy. Just spent 2 years fully restoring it. Japanese EJ207 going in soon!

Whip 2, the daily. 5MT, turbo, heated leather seats… The perfect car. Cobb stage 1 with the intake rn. Super fun little machine and it carries a lot of skis.

Hopefully in the next few weeks I’ll have a whip 3. If anyone is selling a Ducati Monster, lmk :)

Subarus never do much for me but the old 2.5 rs's are sick af. You got a real gem, never get rid of it. Shame we didn't get the fun version in the US.
 
Some stupid kid rear ended my Frontier, he was probably tiktoking. Bent the frame and totaled it. Destroyed his Accord.

i actually like the look of the gladiator.

back when they didnt offer a stock pickup, people were doing something called the BRUTE conversion on the short cabs and they were legit.

still dont get why someone would need a 4' box.
