1050803.jpegGnar Prius (2005)

I bought this fucker with 148k miles back in December after selling the big red van...

Ive put 14k miles on it since then and damn is she a hearty beast, literally has been more loyal than the van ever was. I average 45mpg per tank, I can sleep in the back and carry my bike without even too much of an mpg loss.

We have had some good memories already too. like when I backed into a minivan leaving my resort after a long work day, ripped my bumper off, put it back on. then a month later somebody hit my car in the coffeeshop parking lot, which caused the bumper to fall off on the highway later that day scaring the absolute fuck out of me. But hey I bought a new bumper for $100 and I am excited for many more Prius adventures

Just picked up this toyota altezza about a week ago.

3s-ge mated to a 6spd so it’s super fun to drive. Pairs nicely with my jzx100 ?

Love those things. In Canada they import a few of these from Japan, would love to snag one. Would scratch my fun car itch, while being a solid inconspicuous highway machine.

My wife’s cousin is a loser you could say—has been living in his parents basement into his 30s, practically never had/held a job, just gets high and plays video games and stays in basement living on parents $$. He didn’t come to our wedding just a few miles away, we’ve even had family thanksgiving/xmas at their house but he never even comes up from basement to see family sometimes. Anxiety you could say

reason I say this—despite being the loser of the family, he may not even have a drivers license yet in his mid 30s—but he bought an IS300. So now i think he’s actually pretty fuckin cool lol

this is tight. my sister just traded off her IS300 for an FRS and kinda sad about it (she had an altezza grill lmao)

She's actually pretty quick. faster than an is300 IMO. pretty sure it has a 4.3 diff so autobahn RPMs kinda suck but it's still not terrible on gas.

I'd do the same. Idk if I would trade an altezza for an FRS though lol

How much did it run yah if you don’t mind me asking? I love delicas

I'm in about 12k which included timing belt and a/c replacement, shipping and duties. The weak Japanese Yen helped quite a bit, and I didn't have much competition at the auction. If you buy one already imported you can expect to pay around 18k.

Nice I love these things, seems like importing myself is the move. Was that difficult? Online says it’s not bad, and tons of companies out there can help out too.

I went through Japancardirect.com and they sorted everything. It took a while looking to find the right one, but I was looking for a manual which are much more rare.

Oh yeah Mitsubishi made some quality manual transmissions. Diesel too? That’d be the dream

Yeah it's a 5MT I4 diesel with 4 hi/lo. Doesn't really like the cold though so I'll have to get a block heater. Also illegal in CA, ME, and PA so if you live there you're out of luck.

j100 lexus lx470. She’s a beaut. Some dude in a tan promaster turned left into me. His car was totaled and all i needed was a fender, trim piece, and a blinker. It is nearly impossible to find parts for this. My dealership had to import a fender from japan. 7k without shipping. It hurts. A lot.

Yoooo. Mazdas are clutch. I drive a CX 30

They’re just cheap to repair and generally reliable, definitely the best car I could get for the budget, shits almost brand new and was like $27,000

Just got it a month ago. Been fucking pricey to fix up but it's running good now with lots of new parts. 420 000km but it's a tdi. I love these old Golfs so I'm excited to do some body work and see how well I can fix it up.

I’m jealous man that is clean. Dream whip is a tdi golf. I’ll always have a Toyota pickup but for a daily that is nice

I had a tdi jetta before this, the thing was a piece of shit and gutless but I still loved it, especially the 50mpg, but I just picked this up today, a hell of a lot more power than my 06 and it’s a manual too

Yeah I’d definitely get a manual, auto vw suck I’ve heard.

I wish we got AWD tdis here, only a Europe thing.

They’re not too easy to find but there are 4motion Passats out there, not a golf but it’s the closest you’ll get to an awd tdi without engine swapping an r32 or golf r

I know most of you would rather have the ‘Vo, but I waited 2 years for this RS3 so I’m pretty pumped. It’s my first automatic (not counting my old car in high school or pickup) so it’s pretty exciting to finally get to bang some paddles and have a car that’s actually fast 0-60 and not just high HP. Rowing gears is great but so is the sound of crisp upshifts

Our old buddy actually flew out to Colorado to pickup his new Volvo so it was really cool how we got to reunite and also both get new cars the same day. Pic looks like ass I think but his is a V90. It’s got the blue prancing moose on both fenders, as well as Swedish colored “M striped” grill, I dig it but I love stupid tacky, ricey stuff haha

First truck! Bit of a fixer upper Ive got new bearings and power steering system for it and she should be good to go! Bed shakes and clangs a bit so might try and bolt it down better. Shocks feel pretty old too but it was 1600 so what can I expect.

Oh yeah and the dash doesnt turn on, either a wiring issue as it has been rewired or the actual cluster os broke so thats gonna be a tricky one to figure out I hate wiring stuff

rs3 is fuckin siiiick

Just a basic ass crosstrek with some wheels off my JDM imported STI S201. 6spd manual, AWD and enough room to haul the kids, skis and camping gear around? it's alright, it's no STI but it's not terrible and I hadn't found anything else 4wd/AWD with a manual transmission for under $40K

I got this recently after being really on the fence about it. It’s been a complete and total paradigm shift in the experience of owning a car.
