great update, love the bar staying on the bottom, and also love the arrows that show up when scrolling to jump to the top/bottom for thread page navigation. Not sure if that was there before but great touch.
One suggestion I have for the pop ups from the bar is to make them more interactable, and fill the screen in a better way than being cutoff halfway on the bottom. Here's a screenshot of "Alerts"
the only way to close is to tap the little X up top, or tap the close button that's cut off halfway. It'd be great if it filled the page without having to scroll to find buttons, and you could swipe that card away to close it, similar to how a lot of other iOS apps work. No need to hit a tiny X when you can just swipe the whole card down, if that makes sense

Swiping is too much for V1 - but we'll put that on the list for V2. We did our best to get this out the door in as rapid as a timeframe as possible, so there are still limitations to what we can put in V1.
That being said - it shouldn't be cut off like you're seeing. We'll look into that, as it should be smooth to either X out or to hit close at the bottom close to your thumb.

also I'm seeing mod tools show up right next to the voting on my posts only, not others posts

You have created a great App!
The only little improvement I would suggest is to put thin grey lines between two videos/post/news etc..
Today when turning my phone to the side I got confused and liked the "wrong" post.

Can the menu that comes from the menu bar (mythreads for example) come up from the menu bar now instead of down from the top? Now that the menu bar is down at the bottom it's not as fluid to go from the button to the menu - if that makes sense. Notifications are still a bit wonky- I get the alert sound and pop-up, but badges doesn't seem to work. Buuuut since I'm still here, home button on the bottom possibly? I know that's how most of the social media apps these days work so I think that would be neat instead of having to make multiple clicks to return back

Mill take a look at ideas here but remember mobile apps are only "simple and easy" because you leave absolutely everything out you possibly can. The more we start to add the more complicated the entire interface gets.

Just got it the other day so I haven't had much chance to explore but so far my only suggestion is to make the borders between things a bit clearer. Mostly in my threads, the pop-up thing appears kinda jumbled, and to a lesser extent in the threads themselves, the boundary between posts isn't that clear. Not a problem for me, but might be for people who haven't been on NS for nearly a decade.
Only thing that I'd like to be able to do is be able to copy a link, so if I want to send a thread or video or what not to someone, I have no way of accessing the URL- unless I'm just missing it haha

So far I have used the app a decent amount and it's been pretty rad! Pretty smooth.

So when you click on a push notification it brings you right to it, but then there's still an alert within the app. You have to manually dismiss it.. is there a way to have I think automatically "read" by clicking on the push notification? That would be sick

One small thing that is slightly annoying to me because I like to clear my notifications is when I open the app from a push notification, it goes straight to the thread and post, which is awsome. But it doesn't clear the alert from my navigation bar.

Makes sense. I was just curious cause, like I said, no one really said why so it kinda seemed like an "I don't like change" complaint as opposed to an actual dislike. I get the convenience with the back button up there. I just feel like it clears up the top a bunch more and is easier to get to at the bottom and it's more along the lines of other apps so it's just what I'm used to. But, being up near the back button does make sense. I mostly don't use the back button anymore or the clearing of the mythreads tab, now that there's a home button I just use that all the time, so I guess that's why it doesn't bother me.
