Something I've noticed so far is the down vote and quote are really close so I often click down vote when going to quote, I also can't undo the vote by tapping again, also I feel like it would be better if the post reply button would be before the cancel, would feel more natural that way, other wise I love the app, maybe add options to get notifications about thread replies etc too
 
I would love to get the beta if you have any spots available. I have an iPhone 5 running the latest iOS. Do you have to be a donator to do it? Because I just donated $5 finally haha :)
 
I think the little arrows to go directly to the top or bottom of pages is my favorite part of the app so far.

also there was a mix up on the front page yesterday where some videos had the titles of other videos underneath but it looks cleared up now. might be a bug worth looking into

I posted this in slack but it may have gone under the radar. Mod tools in profiles are now working, as well as on posts of my own, but the forum tools don't show up (you can see in the screen shot it doesn't show on other people's posts versus mine)

Ok kinda fuxked up right now but imma try. So when poating a reply left t r8ght it goes cancel post reply then preview. Wouod be super cool id when we cl8cked preview there was an optiom to post rather than just cancel that would be suoer cool.hopes that makes sense. Sorry in afvance cause im aure its all a fuxked up.
 
Not a huge deal but when i click the push notifications for alret on android that thing by the belk dosent go away even after veiweing it. Onky goes away af5er i click in it once inside the app and never from outside the app when clicking push notifications.
 
Sorry for whats probably my like hexuple post but are polls not possible anymore or am injust mussing it? Ibmay just be dumbs.

What happened with the spelling on your posts?

the bell thing is sadly a limitation right now. The notification not being in sync will get addressed but it'll take some reworking of the system.

That last bit was fixed.
 
Watching videos is not slick whatsoever. Personally I much prefered it when it automatically went into full screen quicktime player. Fiddling around trying to get the newschoolers player to go fullscreen is annoying, and after being done with the vid, it rarely takes you back to the same place in the feed (scrolls by itself) then your left trying to find it to mute it because it keeps playing the audio. 4/10 user experience

Are you sure you are on the latest build? Did you manage to get it set up through TestFlight?

would love to hear if others are having a similar experience with videos because they work pretty well on my phone.

Bait - check into the TestFlight thing and get back to me.

Well we hope so :) one guy putting together an app on his own time vs a few very experienced programmers taking 4-5 months to create something... haha. We're very excited about it too.

Not gonna lie, relying on email notifications that come 45 min late isn't the best system. Glad you did something about it.

Yeah push notifications is huge I think, really helps the flow of conversation.
 
Could you add push notification settings? A way to add notifications for thread replys etc would be nice, also I'm not sure what gets notifications now but I've gotten a few messages and haven't received any

Yes this is with the latest version, from test flight. I preferred when the default was full screen, not the player pasted onto the feed.

I can confirm this has changed. It used to just full screen on iOS and I think we should switch it back to doing so.
 
Having issues with unselecting the bold, italic, underline boxes when commenting on a video

Well we haven't even tried to fix it. Would you want it to play in-line if it worked better... or do you never ever, ever want anything to play in-line under any circumstance?

I would never want to play it in line. The reason it works on instagram is because videos are less than a minute, and often square, but NS videos should mostly be full screen, and it is not worth having to press it in the player in line, it should be automatic like it was in the really early version.

Why is it not worth it? Don't you want to be able to preview a video without committing to full screen? That is the best thing ever for me... I absolutely Fucking loathe that videos have always played full screen on iOS.

Also note that on android the videos always have played in-line. Does it work better?

What is your main problem with having the videos play in line? Like what is actually bothering you about it?

When you say videos playing in line do you mean them playing where they sat on the screen and not jumping to full screen? And are we talking automatically or after you click play? I kind of like when they play and you have the option to just scroll past, if that's what were talking about

Clicking play, them playing where they sit and then if you want to go full screen you have to click it or rotate your device (or both).

I don't mind it like that at all. I would actually prefer it. Then when you accidentally click on a video it isn't so frustrating

That is exactly what I'm thinking. However in this thread Evan and Bait have said they hate it. We'll need more opinions.
