Mountain Biking

i know i know hahaha,

but really, i somewhere along the way lost the desire to really "train" for it. i now just hit them mountainz and i dont even care if it takes me 5 or 10 minutes more.

maybe i will go for it once again, but idk, i just started to play football (maybe not something special for americans, but def over here) and the training goals of that and XC kinda contradict each other.

whada you think?

Anyone want to help with DH wheelset selection? Don't care about weight, not too concerned with the hub just want something that will hold up for at least a season considering I take reasonable care of them (clean em, lube em, true em when needed). I was thinking Azonic Outlaws? I don't want to spend more than $400, which I know is on the cheaper side of the DH wheel spectrum, but I can't really afford the bling right now.

Definitely outlaws...i got mine for $280 on ebay, brand new. They've been ridden hard for over a year and have only needed to be trued once for a barely noticeable wobble. GREAT wheelset for the price.

i live in KAMLOOPS, so yes i do ride.love living here best terrain around and a few hours to shore/whistler

just picked up a turner DHR a few weeks ago:-)

just slayed tiger up here in WA, fun stuff we had to trudge through like 70 feet of 12" deep snow just to get to the singletrack, yet it was 65 and sunny out. i love WA.

I live in western ny as well, and theres nowhere good very close, but i might try swain. i have a xc trek that used to ride alot, but im into bmx now and i was thinking of getting a dj bike and selling either the trek. does anyone have any suggestions for a relatively low priced, average dj bike? id prefer new but used might be fine

nah it was closed cuz of too much snow at the summit, we headed over to timber ridge and rode that, but there was still snow everywhere. crazy shit

Thinking about trading my 2005 Kona Coiler Deelux for a NS Bitch hardtail. How much cash should I ask for on top of the guy trading his bike? Anybody know how the Bitch is for trailriding? All I know is that he's stringing some wheels together right now and it comes with a Manitou Minute fork. Other than that, I don't know much about it. I'm going to meet the guy this week to test ride it.

I didn't think Tiger had that much snow, 27 still had a few traces on Friday but I figured it would have all melted by now.

I'm waiting for Palisades, Sun Top, and Kachess Ridge to open, those are so much fun.

word, summers gonna be sick. have you ever been out towards exit 38? iv done some climbing out there and the trails are usually empty and perfect for riding. since i know my way around there pretty good i think im gonna make the trip out this summer, i dont know if biking is aloud in that area though.

Hey guys i was just wondering if you bikers would take the time to support a fellow biker, and like this page. This page is for my cousin that was working for Trek bike tours in Spain and fell biking on his way home. He broke his neck and is paralyzed from the neck down, he is making progress and today he took his first step on his own. There goal is to get 500 likes and it would be great to reach that, so thank you.

I and planning to set up a web episode series on a youtube channel. Im getting shit together, but its about the riders from Quebec. SO Quebec riders, if you want exposure contact me!

you gonna be coming to any of the races?

specifically the Canada cups in Mt. Tremblant and Bromont?

38 is pretty sick, it's all downhill specific trails and some of them are pretty tech. US forest doesn't give a shit either, that place is over run with run shooting red necks. Try to get a pick up to shuttle with, you gotta be committed if your going to hike laps there. Unfortunately that's what I have to do to get fast.

Ever since Duthie was built everywhere but there and colonnade are empty. I wish more people would ride 27. It gets really lonely at times and it's easily the best trail system within the Seattle area.

wish i had some money to get something new... at least a bigger frame and longer suspension. hope to replace the shitty hayes mechanical discs to avid this season.

Anyone have some advice on what bikes/brands to look at for a beginner, not looking for one specifically geared towards one discipline off biking but kinda a hybrid for downhill/xc ya know?. I have a local DH course but have never been into it, just rode it occasionally on a shitty double hand-me-down schwinn. But i really want to get into this spring/summer!

go for an all mountain bike. kona had some good ones, specialized has some. I have a yeti 575 and I love it but it is a lot of money if you don't know a rep. Do your self a favor and buy a good all mountain bike. Cheap ones will not help you.
