ok for some reason my last post didnt show up... so i say this again... everybody cept maybe a few, bishop, and levin because he makes good movies, SHUT UP... you cant do cab 10s, you cant even get close, you dont know how hard it is to do one, especially with a true nose mute in it. 50 switch 10s in a row is a little gay i admit, but all these kids bashing on switch 10s when they can do 360s is weak... i think skiers need to learn how to take off forwards again
 
Yo bishop. You should start collecting money from all of us so u can start a NS big air contest where switch tens are banned(or just not rewarded so greatly) and you can pick the panel of judges. That'd be dope as hell.

i was so pissed off when pep threw the switch seven or whatever he tried. They kept saying that he had to know that he cant win with that trick and that he must not haved wanted it enough. And when jakob did that grab they were like, thats cool but he should have thrown it in with a ten.

it sucked that dumont tried to keep it real along with pep, who both had ill looking sw 7s, and they both got jack. i wish douglas would have talked about the fact that they werent doing sw tens for a reason.

and bushfield. i agree with all previous statments. it was great when they showed the reactions when he pulled that crap.
 
i've seen the replay of shaun white's last 10 like 10000million times, but none of the sw double backflip. that pisses me off. the 10s did get kinda old after a while, so

so how gay would it be if they had ski big airs like diving competitions... everyone has to choose to do a few certain tricks, requireds, they have a degree of dificulty which factor into the score. Then you have optionals where you can do what ever you want also with degree's of dificulties that factor into the over all score...

each jump gets judged on a scale of 1 to 10... the high and low score of each jump gets thrown out. Add up the points at the end and see who wins... .

pretty gay huh... show me a better aliternative, till the, keep rocking those swtich 10's with your cocks out homies!
 
stop talking about this shit and just boycott espn for ruining skiing because of bad judging and giving the mainstream the image that all freeskiers do is throw switch tens. i hate espn and i refuse to support a channel that promotes spin to win. period.
 
I can't believe someone who works for this site could make such a stupid thread. Mr. Bishop, People are throwing switch 10's so much because they are so difficult and it shows how well they can ski. If you people want to start seeing 360's once again in big air comps instead then we are going back in time rather than progressing the sport with bigger and better tricks, such as the switch 10. Unless you as an athlete are throwing the trick so much that you are getting bored of it then there is no reason you, Mr. Bishop and your little NS followers, should be bashing on seeing them to much.
 
i love every person that didnt do a switch 10 even though they knew they had to in order to podium.. and i still give dumont props because he only did sw10 so he could move up even though his switch cork 7 truckdriver was better

and how did charles get shanked so bad on his first 10 with that ridiculous grab?
 
bushfields sw double back was so sick, too bad he didnt land it. His binding like broke, i kept wating it on all the replays the heelpiece like completely snapped and turned around or something, it was weird. He should've gotten a good score just for switching things up and being original though.

XGAMES was the biggest let down of the fucking season.... stupid fucking announcers and judges acting like sw 12 is the only way to win the comp... some of those sw 10's were so weak... Favre definitely should of beat some of those skiers.. big props to pep, favre, and jacob for throwing stylish shit
 
I, but i believe if the judges in the skiing industry allowed for more creativity, the switch ten wouldnt be so fucking overplayed

ok, did anyone see steele's run? what was up with that? he looked so out of place and discombobulated. I know he's not the ruler of big air but he looked like he took an unexpected shit in midair. Anyone else notice that?
 
i watched with three kids who don't ski, and they all got stoked on rory, candide, and pep. NONE OF WHOM THREW SWITCH TENS!!!! X Games is eating skiing's soul.
 
It didn't look like Steele got a good pop, and caught an edge a little on the takeoff...

The switch 10 show got a little boring, but I like the trick. It seemed they weren't really rewarding people for corking out either. They did reward for the stomp and how long they held the grab, which it is why it is funny to hear some of these rants.... Isn't that one of the biggest parts of style?

Anywho, that switch double back attempt left mountain dew all over my coffee table.
 
Well...I suspected as much. They posted up pictures of the best trick contest. Pretty weak. They knocked Rory for his Switch Backs:

A switch double backflip only impresses people if the reason it's landed is becasue your DINs are blow-out-both-knees-cranked. Rory Bushfield, double ejecter.
 
I!!!!! It is ruining our sport...and it isn't the athletes faults really, it is the judges...the athletes would be throwing down other stuff if it would get scored higher I bet.
