FUCK THE SWITCH 10

Meh... I stick with my original post. I'm still waiting for people to do 540s and 180s that truly explore style. I've given up arguing it though.

 
Although I agree with you the x-games is really about the general audience.....and the general audience are mostly people who are gappers or don't even ski at all. In my opinion (don't take it to heart) they would want to see a huge double instead of a steezy 540
 
One of things that remains the same is that Lolo is still fucking slaying it with insane style, as he did nearly 6 years ago. He is the man.

I don't think a lot of kids on NS really remember this. Wasn't it like only 3 (or so) tricks that WEREN'T switch 1080s? It was boring as all hell, and there was no initiative. But now we're in the doubles era. At least there is a good bit more variety than the switch 10 of 2006.

 
style over huck any day of the week... this is why I love Phil and Henrik, we all know they can do the really hard tricks but in most of their edits its tricks that almost anyone could do but they just fuckin stylleeeeee the fuck out of the tricks so much that they look amazing. like they add so much style that most people would fall trying to add that much haha

1) you don't need to be able to do switch 10s to criticize switch 10 fests. If you can do them and still criticize switch 10 fests, what then?

Dude sw 10's are prob my favorite trick to watch... Idk what it is but just taking of switch and landing switch in exactly 3 rotations makes for the perfect amount of tech and style in one trick.
 
Was this thread made during the time were if you could switch ten you basically got a sponsorship? Cause I remember hearing that Turpin got dropped years ago cause he was one of the only dudes who couldn't do one. Also it's crazy how far the sport has gone in such little time because the switch ten years ago is pretty much the dub twelve mute of today.
 
switch 10 is fucking awesome. yeah steezy 540 is cool, but you really can't turn it to any steezer than it is right now. is 180, i feel like theres nothing new to explore. (i'm talking about on axis spins, and you are too)

Lmao read through this thread. Funny to see how x games in 2006 everyone did switch 10s and that was the trick to do in order to win when nowadays I think switch 10s are one of the more dope tricks in skiing. Then 6 years later everyone was doing dub 12s. Now it’s 1620/1800s. Crazy evolution thread.
