This war came after America fought Britain for Independence, Independence war= Revolutionary war

war fighting for the ridding of slavery= Civil War.

the jets ? haha please read up before you try and diss someone please ! they are top of the top of our jets and way better than most of the stuff you have, just to add to this, the british air force may not be as big as the US air force but it would fuck it up without a doubt !
 
ppl can hate on America but nobody here even cares about Canada one way or the other. We hear more about England than we do about Canada.
 
ive read more on this stuff than most kids have read in their lives, and i do not believe that the UK would be a significant threat to the US. actually i think youre entire country could be carpet bombed before you even got a single jet off the ground.

yeah im only talking about if it was just air forces against eachother ie dogfighting) because of the size of your military its only fair to say that although they are highly trained personel, they arn't as highly trained as say our military because of the size difference ? if you understand.....

and i think you underestimate the size of the uk? we may be samll but have a fair amount of strength !

Cause if so, it's hardly the top air force plane of the day. It just fills 1 requirement really well because at the moment, it's literally the only plane built for that requirement until the F-35 program gets it together.

And there's also the little fact that the modern harrier (from the 70s) is also an Anglo-American development. Yes, Hawker-Siddely created the basic version of it, but that aircraft is a far cry from the BAE/Mcdonell Douglas version.

Plus I've just read that the RAF harriers are actually going to be used for spare parts by the USMC.
 
I really don't see the point in arguing about whose military would kick whose ass.

US military will obviously win over practically any other countries. But each citizen is also spending an average of 2300/year on it. Far more than probably any other country in the world. For that money it better be the best.
 
the harriers are badass ! they may not be the top plane of this day but it was one of the british main planes cause of it amazing design and practilcal uses. for example it could be launched of a air craft carrier ect plus over the years we haven't upgraded the design of the exterior but we updated the technology inside the harrier, to bring it up to be able to fight in todays battles, mainly automative....

and its a fucking veteran.

The Air Force is trying to tag too many roles onto an individual plane.

The f-22 is a perfectly fine airplane. Just these days we don't really ever get a chance to test them, because the odds of an all out air battle ever occurring are minimal at best.

The only real combat type problem with it is that infrastructure it requires. It needs too much in the way of support infrastructure. In order to operate to it's full level of ability it also needs to work with AWACS and other support planes. 1v1 in a dogfight is a decent test, but the truth is that the f-22 would never end up in such a situation. It would probably shoot down it's opponent before the opponent even realized an f-22 was there.
 
Who taught you to hate?

I grew up with nothing, but a firm respect for Canada. I had family there, they have pretty sweet terrain, and funny accents. Then I grew up a little and I found out a lot Canadians look down on us and even hate us in some cases. All of my respect was lost.

I literally get treated better in Mexico.
