Christian skiers

its funny i was in mammoth for a few weeks last year and then again in NZ and there is a massive group of christian freeriders. maybe it was just there but i think there must be a bunch on NS. it seems most people here from what i have read have a really negative view on religion in general here, maybe you have had shitty experience with bible bashers but we all arnt like that,

im a anglican to answer your question so yes women can preach as much as they like.
 
we call them bible thumpers, a bible bashe would be someone who hates on the bible, not tries to cram "the word of god" down your throat

why? whats feeds the need to mix religion and skiing? they have nothing to do with each other unless you worship snow.
 
He's just making a group for people who are into the same thing. Just like every other cult on newschoolers. Are you against every cult on newschoolers, or just religion?
 
I was referring more to jesus crew and other christian crews who flaunt the religion.

Its like people who put apple stickers on their helmets, why? are you here to ski or advertise for a computer company that has no relevance to what youre doing?
 
bible thumper = opening bible to roughly mid section, placing penis (in some cases scrotum as well) in between sections, and slamming bible closed rapidly, repeatedly.
 
I dunno gods word is kinda like be nice to people share your wealth blah blah. believeing that god created the earth and all that stuff is what people hate on religion for but christianity has a good message people ust believe the stories to much

I don't really agree with religion but I occasionally go to church with friends and now they call my cell phone because I put my information on some card. Its only been like twice though so its not that big of a pain.
 
Even as an agnostic I find it funny you are debating a book which you have probably never even read. If you knew anything about the religion you would know that Jesus cast all that shit out. Of course the big man(yahweh) is still kind of a dick for telling moses to kill the midianites.

to be honest, i dont really no what christianity has to do with skiing...but i guess that could go for most other things on ns
 
Now I'm not a big proponent of christianity, but comparing the bible to Harry Potter is just wrong. The bible was a great piece of literature (take that literaly) but Harry Potter, on the other hand...that is just another violent butchering of the english language. Not to mention that series is devoid of any content to interpret, so +1 more for the bible...I think.
 
Thats kind of hypocritical seeing you are hating on christians in a christian thread... Forcing your opinions on them/us ....
 
he was saying how it has a lot of good lessons. sure it does... (sometimes) but so do plenty of other books.

no i do not put harry potter on the same scale of literature as the bible, that would just be dumb. it was just the first book that came to mind with another lesson that was good.

i am not hating in any way, and the comment i made goes both ways for religious people and atheists. religious people don't want atheistic opinions forced upon them, and atheistic people don't want religious beliefs forced upon them.

i was simply explaining what's wrong with the word of god, after somebody else had asked. if nobody can admit to the fact that a belief in god is a personal choice that has been proven neither good or bad, then they're the one who has an issue. not hating, just educating.

Tight pants dont tell me I'm going to hell because I wear baggy stuff, hip hop is a genre of music, beer is a beverage. The only valid comparison you mentioned was rasta and skiing, and to tell you the truth rastafarians dont come up to me when Im downtown and ask me if Ive found Jah, I take no issue with that faith because they dont make a point to bother me.
 
Can you guys grow up and debate somewhere else? Your beating a dead horse thats not going to get settled in this thread or elsewhere for that matter. The thread creator is trying to get people to join the Christian Skier Cult ( as ironic as that sounds) The amount of misinformation in this thread is ridiculous from the opponents and proponents of the religion.
 
I attended a christian school for 8 years and i was taught theology all of those years. Christianity is bullshit. You can try to prove me wrong but i'm just warning you, I have a fucking arsenal of points and facts to back myself up. So, you can try to defend your "god" but truth will prevail.
 
i used to be on RR, so Dave stewart is mad christian, but the group its self is not, but he always has a religious vibe, and everyone who was in it with me i think was christian so..
