Boreal park

it's on my wishlist for the first build when we can move into the the night park below the superpipe. pray for some colder weather and tell that high pressure to stay away next week as its trying to make a comeback :-(

werd dunny ill be there tomorow, gonna be kinda sketch with my bunk ass knee but boreal is always a good time

on sundays not too bad i think we had to wait in line like 3min at most, the problem is the people that dont know how to get on a dam lift!

haven't had many updates for you guys and well, you can look out the window and see its not cold and snowing! Here's a little excerpt from of private forecaster from this morning. It's not the greatest but it does offer a little hope that a change is right around the corner.

"Well, we're making progress, at least the air mass is cooler this morning than we've seen in a couple of days. An area of low pressure is moving across the Pacific Northwest and will slide southeastward through Idaho, Utah and Colorado. The front pushes weakly through us and we see a light east wind tonight. I believe the humidity values remain fairly low, at least low enough for us to get a run at making snow tonight down lower on the mountain. The 700 mb temperatures still remain too warm for us up top. My expectation is that the high pressure, over the next week, shifts off the West Coast and will allow for a cooler air mass over the region and we'll be able to make snow. The models are still all over the place with regards to the details of the change, but they all agree to shift the high west of the coast."

doppe ill be thurr tomorow after school with some hood rats first time skiing in a month woot loli love you borealyou guys should hire me

actually have a few rookie positions open and more skiers on the crew would be dope. If you're serious then come find Dave(staff supervisor) or myself next time you're up at Breal. Dave is usually on the hill and I'm either in my office or in our shop wrapping up some projects before we get going full swing here shortly with the return of cold weather. Basically just stop by the old skate bowl as that is both our office and shop .

RedBull moved the bowl down to a skate park in SAC last summer. We remodeled inside of the building this summer. It's now the Terrain Park office, locker room and our very own fab shop. We just got the garage door in last week so all of those old features still around the outside will be coming inside very soon. We are going to Frankenstein those old features into some new multi combo stuff.

I remember hearing something about it being on an old air force base where the park is . So I assume they were talking about Mather Field unless there is another old air force base around there?

Good news!

Today was out first nonstop around the clock snow making of the year. We pulled the portable gear off of Castle Peak and were working on top to bottom including parts of the real lower night park. Should have the top finished tonight and then tomorrow bump the portable gear down to continue in lower night park with with all guns blazing. We'll need a day or two to push out the piles but the top should open Wed or Thurs with the real lower night park by the weekend.

THE PARK IS SO SICK RIGHT NOW!.

ive been having so much fun. definitaly cant wait fo the top to be open and we can go fast! and sneek ff the side and slay some natural features. haha

but defintaly the only thing that i could say would be better right now (snow permitting from a bigger jump) is some kinks...?

we had to switch some things up a week ago and unfortunately the s-box got the axe. not sure if that will come back with the new park next week but I really really want to do both c-boxes back to back X-style. If we can make that happen it will take priority over the s-box. Its going to get ridiculously cold going into next week so we should be all set for building out the new lower night park.

i was up there tongight, park is super fun.

heard they are planning on opening up the lower night park within a few days

4 guns have been blasting on the jumpline since sat 7am. They will run until sometime tuesday am when the wind shifts back fro the east and all guns go to the race course. If we don't make enough snow by then, the guns will come back to the jumpline wed pm or thurs am with the winds forecasted to shift back from the west.

Can you build one or two of the jumps the same as how you did at Alpine back in the day with longer lips instead of short and super wu-tang.
A jib idea would be a flat rail and at the end of the rail would be two boxes on a down slope a foot or two off from each side so that you can slide the rail and then transfer off to either side onto a box!

just got back from the mountain..it's f#$%in dumping up there right now!

we are closing in on 1 million gallons pumped on the jump line and 2 million gallons pumped on the superpipe. I'm pretty stoked on the new run for the jumpline. It's a straight line and it has some natural breakovers to work with. the whole idea on moving the jumps to this run has been a long time in the making(remeber the bottom three were there 4 years ago but a line of trees blocked it from having a descent inrun) with the natural terrain to work with, it will definitely help with the trannies as we wont have to stack so high relative to the size of the jump to get a good landing. not being so flat it will aloow us to just build much better proportioned jumps. we wont start pushing yet for a couple more days but if you are riding Acceltron you can see the PILES we've been making.

We made a lot of progress today on the jumpline. Snow making should kill it tonight at 2degrees forecasted. Tomorrow morning we hope to add 1 or 2 more jumps to the line(with the new snow) making it a possible 5 pack of roughly 30fters. It will open Thursday morning.

The new park below the superpipe will open Friday, could very well be some zaugg surprise features in that park.

Superpipe will open sometime next week..still to much happening so fast(possible race on sat that will pull some cat hrs away from the pipe)to set a firm date on that but we do have all the snow as of today and some rough intial pushing was done to get the pile(s)into a manageable layout.

Dont quote me on this but I think we have enough snow as well for the upper jump(s) next to the pipe. If in fact we do, then the upper jump(s) will open the same day as the stuntditch or maybe a day sooner, whenever that may be. mid next week we could be looking at a possible 6-7 jumpline of roughly 30fters all under the Accelatron chair line..

Nice
