Inflation is at record highs. People are not able to afford rent, used cars, groceries, gasoline, you name it.

2 MILLION illegal immigrants have come across the border over the past 12 months. That is more than any other time in history. These people are not being tested for the so-called "pandemic" that liberals are still terrified of for some reason. These people are not required to be vaccinated, and yet nurses and navy seals are being fired for choosing not to receive an experimental drug because they accept the risk of a virus with a 99% survival rate.

The supply chain is a complete disaster. And while ships were waiting to deliver goods, our Secretary of Transportation was on "paternity leave" for 3 months. What a weak and pathetic man to take 3 months off during a crisis in order to recover from not having a child.

The gop is going to have to do a lot more than distancing if it wants to break away from the Trump circus. Maybe try rejecting trumpism completely. Try cooperating with the various investigations into his activities. Work to fix the damage he did during his four years in office. He's still the most likely presidential candidate in 2024, and you're kidding yourself if you think the Republicans won't fall in line behind him.

Inflation and Gas prices have gone up due to the absolute simplest of supply/demand economics. Production and shipping costs went way up due to increased anti-covid measures in every section of the supply chain... And with sudden and massive shifts in consumer demand, costs for everything skyrocketed.

There was little demand, for example, oil when everyone was being told to stay indoors and not to travel followed by a huge spike once the vaccines were taking hold and people were eager to get back to work/normal life and started driving again. You can see this across the board with all sorts of consumer goods.

There is not very much the government can really do to combat that - especially when this is a global problem that will likely take a few years to stabilize. It's almost amazing that inflation hasn't gone up higher than it has been recently.

We should be making a stronger push to wean off of fossil fuels entirely. Incrementally cut subsidies into oil companies, but subsidize renewables heavily. We should be manufacturing solar panels domestically rather than relying on cheap Chinese panels and pushing for all new houses to have wind generators built on. I'm even for the idea of including an increase in Nuclear capacity, as we already have all of the infra in place for it.

The phase 4 Keystone XL Pipeline would be entirely for export oil. That's literally what the XL stands for - eXport Limited. Explain how the fuck would that help domestic supply?

There are already multiple pipelines in place as it is for domestic supplies... including the rest of the Keystone system. the XL is unnecessary as hell. It was lobbied for hard by the Koch's and other oilbarons just because they have a huge stake in refining within that region and it would have massively increased their profits.
