They scan my pass every day ... its their job. if they cant see my pass to scan it .. they ask me to take it out. again .. its their job to scan the pass, and my fault they cant see it. agreed the obvious answer is, they are screwed and you should just get another pair. But if you cant cough up the coin, then just grind it off and seal it up with some epoxy. Dont even bother trying to fix the edge, it will just drive you crazy and waste your time.
