How come inexperience people get hurt more?

I know there are some obvious answers to that but I have seen good people take some of the worst falls and noobs break bones just falling down. As you get better do you learn how to handle falls better or what?

probably cause you know how to handle things better, you know how to fall better, and you have way more control than a gaper hitting tables in the park

The reason I asked this was because this kid I know is really cocky and doesn't snowboard alot but will try things off large features and get hurt. My friend told him he didn't have room in the car for him because he didn't want to bring him and have to worry about him getting hurt.

somehow tell him to weezyblog shut the fuck up and progress saftly like everyone else

Give the little gaper a ride up ... he can get a ride home in an ambulance, and kiss is riding career good by ... "Know your limits, Ski within them"

Today i went skiing with two friends...we were asking ourselves the same question as we saw a wowen who got hurt getting down the chairlift..she had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. We told ourselves how is she getting hurt on a stupid thing like that when we are doing jumps and exploding ourselves on the ground and get nothing.

its because you learn to fall. have you ever watched an experienced person and someone who is learning fall in the same way? the best example i can come up with is wakeboarding watching someone who is learning and someone who knows whats up, they both caught their front edge over the course of the day, the person who was learning got mad whiplash and was like "fuck it i quit wakeboarding" and the experienced rider just got back up and went at it some more. experienced riders know how to react based on how they are falling, and what to expect based on what they are attempting or doing.

When you turn pro your balls start producing red bull instead, so you turn extra extreme. I read it in Better Homes and Gardens.

1. They are not strong with their core and legs

2. They try too hard, so they can prove them selves to better skiers

3. They dont know how to fall gracefully

studies show that bone density increases by 37% after a skier becomes 'pro'. therefore decreasing the skiers chances of breaking a bone from a fall.

one of my fathers friends broke his shoulders falling over in the lift line while i landed on my neck after 1.5 backflips and was fine, this was in the powder but still...

Newbs... try to be better then they are..... they dont know how to stomp landings properly they usually backseat.... and they dont know how to pop properly making them go back in the air...

Their are many things.......

Pros

- used trampolines to practive

- they bulid up core strench and lengs

Newbs

- They just huck shit thinking their good.

Althrough i do give respect to the ones that fuk up and still try....

I think one of the main reasons is that beginners usually try to do stuff that is out of there ability which raises their chance of getting hurt. Most don't know to progress slowly and rather just go for double black diamonds after just learning to ski greens.

my own personal experience if you are 100% commited to your trick you might mess up, but you'll get 3x as owned if you freakout and bail in the middle of something

no ur collarbone is the weakest bone in your body, i fell when i caught my edge riding switch at hood and broke it, tom wallisch broke his at squaw last year on a speedcheck, u aint a newb

They don't have coordination with their gear. They have no awareness of where their limbs are in the air or how to twist their gear to not land awkward. They usually crash slower and slower crashes can be more harmful.

They haven't learnt how to fall yet, that comes iwth a lot of practice, falling over and over again.
