There are some recalls with Toyotas, but once they are fixed, they are fixed under Toyotas expense. I do see old Chevys around town, and the person either had it in the shop all the time or got lucky and ended up with a good vehicle somehow. Example. We drove a 1997 Suburban. The Suburban was in the shop every other month. Luckily the vehicle was still under warranty. The catalitic converter went, the engine overheated doing basic highway driving at fucking night, it wasn't even hot, and it routinely decided to break down. Oh, and all of those major breakdowns occured when the vehicle was less than three years old. After that it would routinely break down and the battery died a lot. Our friend's Chevy sucked for a few years, but once they decided to put a whole new engine in, it worked perfectly. The only issue our 1994 Toyota camry has had is a cracked radiator, but that's because my twelve year old brother is a dumbshit. The car had sat in our garage for about two years, and we had to jump it to start it back up. it's in the driveway idling and my little brother decides to rev it up to 5,000 RPM, and pshhhhhhhh, there goes the radiator. We have never had any issues with the Toyotas we have owned. My friend's Mom replaced her Suburban with a 4Runner because she knew that Toyotas were more reliable and higher quality. My other friends Dad currently owns a 2003 2500 Chevy Silverado and he owned a Tundra before. He says he regrets ever buying a Chevy vehicle. 300,000 miles and his Tundra never had an issue. 100,000 and the Chevy has spent tons of time in the shop. Toyotas never break down, so you CANNOT say that Toyotas are not reliable, that's more ignorant than me calling all GM vehicles complete shit.
