The jacket I would love to see is a big mountain orientated one. It would have a list of features that I find I am looking for in jackets, but can never find in a full combo:
-20k/20k fabric-offset zipper, can't get that stuck in your beard, and zippers frozen to your face hurt-a zippered chest pocket with access under the storm flap, instead of outside-a magnetized storm flap (I just don't like velcro)-articulated elbows-Hand pockets designed to accommodate climbing skins, but still include mircofleece inside to warm your hands-a forearm pocket of use for once, that includes a goggle wipe-hood large enough for a helmet, but not overly large. One-handed adjustablilty would be prime-a good powder skirt, that when clipped into your pant interface doesn't still come up over your waistband-internal pocket that can hold a good sized radio, not quite patrol style, but something along those lines and can be accessed without opening your jacket, as in from the chest pocket-well placed, long vents-goggle pocket is nice, not 100% necessary but not in mesh, a microfleece/fibre pocket would be way better-wrist gaiters. These are so good in my mind, but lots of good technical shells are leaving them out-waterproofed YKK zippers-I dig the breathing holes some companies have been implementing lately, they make windy hikes better-solid color. Nothing fancy, no two-tone/strips/plaid
