What would you like to see on a coat?

just wondering what everyone likes to see in a coat. certain types of pockets, colors, whatever. just need to come up with some ideas, and i would like to see what NS thinks

neon is played.

make it mellow.

handy pockets near the hips.

obviously make it tall but make sure it doesn't look like a dress.

gradients are pretty sick, i'd like to see that.

don't do rasta.

tons of vents.

that's all i got right now ahmet haha

from,

jack

I also like zippers on all my pockets so stuff doesnt fall out. And a zipper that goes off to the side so i dont get my beard caught in it

Definitely zippers on every pocket. I'd really like to see some more forward thinking plaid, with some crazier colors, combine some mellow with some bright ass accents. If you need some designs send me a PM.

A pass pocket in the arm. One that zips open and your pass in a little plastic pocket (much like wallets) comes right out. One you could operate in gloves would be cool.

and clean lines, like the patterning of the G-Suit, don't have colours randomly sprayed all over the coat, like the Nike Jossi was wearing, it makes it look cheap

And long, stops it riding up when you're hitting stuff

One of these things, but with only one cord for the season pass.

Zippered pockets without a doubt, with the zippers going down, not side to side.

A pocket on both breasts (tehe)

The goggle mesh thing, maybe with a goggle wipe.

Draw strings on the around the waist of the jacket.

Big zippers that you can use with your gloves on.

space themes, sorta like the Armada Galacticon jacket, bright colors with contrasting zippers, taped seams, Gore-Tex or comparable waterproofing, lots of vents, corduroy with flannel would be awesome, padded accessory pocket (for phones or music players), zippers on the cuffs (easier to tuck in gloves), detachable sleeves (if people want to wear it as a vest).

if this is for you, it should have no zipper. a jacket so gangsta you CANT zip it up.

and it needs to have a sick hood.

something that looks and feels like something you would wear on the street but has waterproofing and warmth you need
yeeyee u back in slc yet?

fur on the hood.

1 or 2 colors.

solid design like someone said up there ^^^. not like splatters

decent sized pockets but not centered like first drop... i think thats just kinda wierd.

goggle wiper in a pocket.

warm but with vents

big zippers for gloves

something avaliable in multipule solid colors in order to be able mix and match,

durable, so it doesnt rip,

lots of practical pockets, (mp3, phone, goggle, etc ect)

clips for season passes and gloves

The jacket I would love to see is a big mountain orientated one. It would have a list of features that I find I am looking for in jackets, but can never find in a full combo:
-20k/20k fabric-offset zipper, can't get that stuck in your beard, and zippers frozen to your face hurt-a zippered chest pocket with access under the storm flap, instead of outside-a magnetized storm flap (I just don't like velcro)-articulated elbows-Hand pockets designed to accommodate climbing skins, but still include mircofleece inside to warm your hands-a forearm pocket of use for once, that includes a goggle wipe-hood large enough for a helmet, but not overly large. One-handed adjustablilty would be prime-a good powder skirt, that when clipped into your pant interface doesn't still come up over your waistband-internal pocket that can hold a good sized radio, not quite patrol style, but something along those lines and can be accessed without opening your jacket, as in from the chest pocket-well placed, long vents-goggle pocket is nice, not 100% necessary but not in mesh, a microfleece/fibre pocket would be way better-wrist gaiters. These are so good in my mind, but lots of good technical shells are leaving them out-waterproofed YKK zippers-I dig the breathing holes some companies have been implementing lately, they make windy hikes better-solid color. Nothing fancy, no two-tone/strips/plaid

Didn't read any of the other responses, but my old SMS jacket had a zippered pocket on the wrist area of the right arm that was very useful.

A zipper that toes off to the side so your lips and beard dont get caught/frozen to it.

and i love the clear pocket my smarty jacket has on the wrist for your pass, so convenient!

big pockets on the side at the bottom.

This. I like solid colors with about two or three different varieties (I really dig First Drop designs) For a park oriented jacket, I would buy something that is just a shell. Very little insulation, I can layer if I get cold. I'm always too hot inside my jacket so I have to give up being dry for being a comfortable temperature. I'd rather be dry and the perfect temperature

i like the whole zippers on pockets idea

but put two pockets without zippers that you could just put your hand in if you are cold or whatever, so just big pockets and it could be behind the main pockets with zippers. i think that would be sick.

A technical coat (20k,20k) but with style to it

simple colours

zipper off to the side near your face like someone said already

Oh, sorry for the double post but wrist gaiters are my favorite invention ever. I can't ski if I have wet wrists.

I like the fit a little taller and baggier. Not ridiculously big, I like how the fit of Will Wessons or Mike Hornbecks gear looks.

I wish a company would put chest pockets for an ipod that actually kept my ipod warm. That would be awesome

-one or two solid colors-no crazy designs keep it simple-definitely zippers on the pockets-a tall fit that isnt too tall-breathability for those warm spring sessions but warm enough to make it so you arent freezing all winter-big pockets so that you can actually put stuff in them-and keep the colors relatively dull there can be some bright parts but dont over do it

Ninja glovesGoggle bag material pocketStash pocketsNo fur on the hoodStrong zippers and stitchingChest pocket under the main zipperBig stiff cuffsOne of those ziplock bag pocket things for your money/matches/smokes like Oakley jackets have.
and of course something with weed leaves all over it would be awesome

people who design ski gear should just go look at 'streetwear' fashion, like the top notch brands and just kinda copy their style. Also I think that if someone copied some color ways from sneakers it would look amazing. Theres no reason to re-invent the wheel when it comes to color.

I like jackets that have an asymetrical look to them

pockets should be zippered, and their contents shouldn't be wet

big pockets inside the jacket

ipod compatible

obviously a small hidden pocket for narcotics (I don't do drugs but I know it would be helpful)

And ski jackets should be like crew necks - no one ever uses the hood on them and it always gets in the way when I'm riding switch-ditch the hood

should be a flap and clear plastic to show the lift ticket easy

This, but i dislike gradients, also PASS HOLDER. Insulated(not shell) and magnetic pockets like the oakley annorak are ill.
