Utah Class of 14

Thats awesome dude. Its gonna be an NS floor takeover haha. if any other NSers want to room with me that'd be cool cuz I still need a roommate in 110.

same and same. but fuck, it seems like all the nsers are goin 803 and im already set to be in 804. regardless, im stoked for next year. i just got back from visiting the U and i am already in love with it.

yeah man im all set up for 803, fucking stoked gonna be a good time. honestly it shouldnt make too much of a difference.

haha for sure. im just stoked to see all these people goin to the U next year, especially since pretty much everyone will be in chapel glen. Im comin from CA so at least i'll be able to relate the NS crowd haha

im officially in for this fall! but im looking to rent out a house near campus with a couple skiers and my bf whos a skier as well, hit me up if any of you need roomies.

yeah thats the general impression i have gotten too, i met the dude who im gonna room with next year and he is a mad chill tele homie, gonna be on the top floor so we can roast all the time without people above gettin pissed. haha and i think wh@t might sign up for the room next to us, shit should be a fun ass time. out here right now and so far everything is dope as fuck.

what's the top floor? 3?
im pretty sure that's where i am toooo
i still have to find a roommate though there are no chill girls i've come across

anyone still lookin for a roomate? me and a friend of mine are comin out and still lookin for two more people, hopefully in chapel glen somewhere

i heard chapel glen 803 is dope

but is there an 806? i heard that was good too.

whats the differences and what makes the chapel glens good?

hopefully eheath answers this, he seems to know his shit on the U, or any other person who goes there. and what are the dorms like? a common room or what

thanks guys

haha ill answer the best i can

chapel glen is ill, i was in 804 and met a ton of people i still hangout with on a daily basis. I know that 802 is the honors dorm so stay away from them nerds, 803 is legit tho.

806 and 807 are gateway heights, different layout, closer to the bus and dining hall but farther from parking and same sex floors. ive heard people like them alot too, but i probably went inside gateway heights twice when i lived on campus. But any of the rooms will more than likely be a double you share with a roommate, there are some singles but mostly doubles but 2 double rooms share a bathroom its pretty sick compared to most dorms.

ok thanks dude! sounds legit, and 803 or 804 is the place to be.

are there triples? one thing i heard was there are 2 rooms, 2 people in each. and they share a bathroom. is it like that? as in, walk through a door. then their is 3 doors, a bathroom, and 2 bedrooms? or am i delerious

no you have your own room, then that is connected to a bathroom that also connects to the other room next to you. two individual rooms, attached by the bathroom. its almost as though the bathroom is in a mini hall connecting the two rooms if that helps you visualize it

Eheath you are foolish. I live in 802 and it is far from honors and nerds. Regardless, Chapel Glen is the place to be either 802,803 or 804 they are all legit and closer to the hc (cafeteria).

Yeah 802 definitely seems far from the honors crowd haha.. 802 raged more than any of the others, but 802, 803, and 804 are all literally right next to each other.. It doesn't necessarily mean anything as long as you live in one of those. You'll meet the same people and whatnot. I lived in 804 and spent more time in 803.

Oh and if you guys haven't gotten meal plans already, don't get the unlimited plan, there are no transfer meals (meaning you can only eat at the HC, which after a month tastes like shit 85% of the time). Get the 19 meal plan and you can eat at the union everyday and actually eat semi-legitimate food.

to be perfectly honest, i would try to take over the gateway dorms instead of chapel glen. go party with chapel kids but the dorms are far nicer in gateway.

Mad oopies, thats how it was when i was there and the year after people said 802 was a buncha honor kids too, who knows, i guess honors kids like to rage too.

i live in gateway heights 806 right now. its dank. close to same layout but a tad different. i have a single in a double so i am not that good at spaical determination but its fucking dope. shared bathroom is dope. the room could be setup nice if i put some thought into though! chapel glen has mad homies in it who love it though

yea totally. It's different every year. When I was a freshman, I probably went to chapel glen buildings like 2-3 times total. The gateway buildings were where it was at. But the year before it was the other way around, and your year it was the other way around as well.

803...19 meal plan with a transfer...yep...I never leave my room...get an xbox, a big couch, and safety equipment..the only time you will need to leave your room is for food, class, and skiing

I am, hoping to find a room in chapel glen as well. Anyone with a room reserved in Chapel Glen looking for a roommate hit me up!

probably haha. I sent out about 10, have heard back from most of the people already. Whats your first name?

theres a couple of people ive been talking to... 2 with rooms in 803, but i havent talked to them as much or i dont think we have as much in common as with the person in 802... im not in honors, so i dont know if i really want to be in 802. someone said this information about 802 was false... can someon confirm? i was really hoping for 803 bc it sounds like thats where all the skiers are, and it has an exercise facility, and i like to stay fit in the fall before and during ski season. how big of a deal is it to be in the next bulding over?

after deciding to attend university of portland, i had an epiphany today. i will now be attending u of u. i'm sending in my housin app tomorrow so i'll be at the top of the wait list for when someone cancels their room, so i'll probably end up in some random place. but whatever, no big deal. looks like i'll have plenty of people to shred with!

i'm also really really stoked for football games

sorry for all the post... but i will be joining my fellow NS and staying in 803 chaple glen officially! Thanks to everyone who posted useful stuff in this thread!

good question haha... i think 2nd.. ill look that up to make sure haha. room number 52203 if that helps

Shit, whats everyone else doing for rooming at the U? I'm transferring there next year, but I wont be a first year student. I havent been down there to look at housing yet, theres a lot of houses to rent with other people, but seems kinda sketch

I'd suggest living in the dorms for a semester, it'd be worthwhile considering its a commuter campus.. meaning meeting people is a bit tougher. The dorms are fairly low key, chapel glen is fun, but if you're looking for a more regular type living space, there are plenty of single rooms and shit over at Sage point which is a ten-fifteen minute walk to the freshman dorms. You'll meet more people around the dorms than commuting to class.
