I have decided that instead of joining the marines Im going to fly over to the middle east and join the taliban so I can kill the ruthless, godless American assholes. And you fail to realize that there are people far worse than the Israelis. Most African nations, the Chechen rebels and Russians, the North Vietnamese, Japan in WWII, portions of the Middle East that are fighting Isreal.
 
Stupid reporters should have been hanging out with a bunch of shady towel heads. I thought the video was sick, shows the chaos of war. When you've got peoples lives hanging in the balance you cant sit around and twirl your fingers hoping the situation will go away, its a war zone, they felt they were in danger and acted accordingly. Props to the heli pilot.
 
i think you do have to be pro-war to support soldiers, doesn't that make sense? or if not then you respect what the soldiers are doing even though it's morally wrong. what's worse? being pro-war or looking up to people who follow orders mindlessly and kill other people for a living. without soldiers there would be no war. it might be a circular argument sooo...

Almost everyone playing is using an online avatar that appears to be a soldier but is in fact the online face of a civilian so you killing them with Chopper Gunner means you are shooting at a civilian.

I beleive our troops have also saved alot of peoples lives...

Haiti, World war 2 espically, afghanistan, south africa, just to list a few. America is in a recession right now, and we still went to help haiti.

It takes alot to be a troop. Closest example to me, my brothers friend, he killed himself. His job in Iraq was to remove the USA military clothing off dead, exploded, half bodies of our infantry before any Iraqy had the chance to take it off for his own disguise. I doubt any of you could do that, I know I cant.

 
Just like in everything there are good and bad people, many soldiers are good people and some are idiots, just like priest might be good people but others rape little boys. People are too quick to generalize over a select few corrupt people.

anyways, what did those reporters expect?? of course some kind of shit is gonna go down when they're hanging around with 6 terrorists. i really despise most reporters over there anyway. they only bring to light the bad that happens and never tell of the good. they're just trying to go along with the whole "iraq war is bad" thing and so they tear apart our military

these guys need to go right into combat, and yes, they have no combat training sometimes, but they're still there because they have to be.

that and they're completely defenseless with no weapons, and also a HUUUGE target for kidnappings and the like.

reporters' job is to hold public interest. people are more interested in controversy than small success stories. this would not be a 4 page thread if it was about a chopper gunner killing 8 terrorists about to blow up some civilians because that shit happens all the time and has ceased to fully captivate people despite how heroic and intense it actually is

the average american is ignorant and narrow minded so it's easier to agree with a carefully planned argument against the military than it is to be open minded and try to actually figure out what's really happening

it's exactly the same as the hundreds of police brutality threads on ns and the thousands of scandals revolving around that. a newspaper headline isn't gonna be like "us marine, along with several hundred thousand other marines, does his job correctly" it's gonna be along the lines of "omg footage released!!! 3 us marines kill a civilian holyfuckingshit!!"
 
yeah i definitely agree with you. i'm just furious with all these canadian and european and whoever fucksticks shitting on us and our military. at least the us tries to help out the people of the world from time to time. it's not always going to be a good result

I didn't shit on the American military. Hell, if I had an American citizenship I would join the U.S. army but I can't and have to deal with the Canadian Forces once I'm done university.

To anyone who says that the Canadian Forces have more peacekeeping missions. Let's just look at how many have truly succeeded? That's what I thought. Peacekeeping appeals to the Canadian conscience because like Canadians..it really isn't very amazing and generally considered a nice thing. Sort of like Canadians.
