USA. **** your army

So much things to say. Too bad I can't write as good as I read.

Anyway I just wanted to ask a few question for the guys in the Army, no hate:

- Why did USA enter in WW II ?

- Then what about conflicts nowadays ?

1. Because we got attacked
2. Because we got attacked. (if ur talking about the middle east). Most other conflicts were peacekeeping (Somolia)

exactly, we got attacked on both accounts. It's two different kinds of wars fought entirely different. Terrorists aren't exactly honorable as other armies were in the past.

never seen it, but i guess during the Korean war the KPA would charge at the army during the night and attack the marines at last resort. There is something different about the way the marines tuck their pants into their boots or something that let the KPA know they were marines. Might not be a credible story coming from my old great uncle, but i thought it was a cool story bro.

101st and 82nd "blouse" their trousers into their boots (tuck them) in their dress uniforms and they wear a different type of boots. Marines in Vietnam at least I know the gear they wore somehow looked just a little different.

everyone blouses their pants. its part of the AR on uniform for ACU...

people think marines are tougher because they are more combat specific and have less support units. They still have their share of rear echelon support staff, but mostly they get supplied by the navy.

The Army has a huge support section. can you say Transport?

Hitler broke peace treatys when he sent his troops over Belgium... honorable?

Working - killing camps ... honorable ?

Shooting on thousands of Americans tryin to make their way to the beach ... honorable ?

Treating Japanese living in the state like ennemies... honorable ?

By the way, on this point, is it different today? I feel more like the world's (fools) being suspicious with all muslims. (In my gay country people are so close minded and ignant that they banned Minarets from Mosquées lately)

-------------------

America entered WW II just because more and more of their COMMERCIAL boats were attacked by Germands U-boats and so they couldn't export anymore. They even waited till it was critic.

America entered middle-east (Terrorist war if you wantl) for 2 reasons :

1) RESSOURCES

2) Iran - Israel

Maybe 3) Russia

You guys should just stop thinking that you're army is fighting for peace and freedom cause it's fighting for cash and maybe revenge. You re better placed than me to know what's the price of a gun, a bullet and overall a big war bill. Who would pay for this? and Why?......................

I don't state anything about Bush and 11 09. I don't even think anything about this yet. Too complicated.

I hope you don't read my post as hateful and if yes please forgive me it's 5a-m and english isn't getting better at this time. But Pax Americana, Why not question it ?

Hitler broke peace treatys when he sent his troops over Belgium. . . took some balls.

Working - killing camps. . . jews in miami.

Shooting on thousands of Americans tryin to make their way to the beach. . . BIG MISTAKE!

Treating Japanese living in the state like enemies. . . good thing they weren't in japan

ya fuck minarets and mosques

you damn straight we be husslin' overseas, gettin pissed when our boats be gettin blown up.

then this. . .

1)resources: we got them

2)Iran-Israel: israel's got that shit on lockdown

Maybe 3) Russia: fuck russia

We went into afgahnistan to stabilize that shit, we went into iraq to do business; sell contracts and shit.

take a good look at this NS; this is oil coming out of the fucking ground! i traveled to the san rafael swell last week and found several oil seeps, no one gives a fuck. we didnt go to iraq and afgahnistan for oil.

america was pissed that everyone was making money from saddam. france, russia, germany, and china. even individual people with in the UN. while the usa was paying for the protection for the oil to get to the persian golf without seeing a dime.

german military weapon firms were making money from saddam selling him materials for WMDs.

iraq had sactions after the first gulf war but all those countries ignored it. america wasn't the only one defiant against the UN.

all those big name countries part of the security council with their vetos. they tied americas hands with their politics. america just said fuck you ill do what i want.

i'm not denying that americas interests in iraq aren't morally better than the interests of the countries that were trying to prevent usa from invading iraq, but at least accept that it was about oil and that there is more than meets the eye than the media and movies like the GREEN ZONE purport it to be.

They are. Seabees don't wear them, thank god. We have woodlawn CUU and soon shifting too digital greens in october time frame which are the nicest IMO

You guys are talking about all sortsa shit I have never heard of.

My dad was in the Navy around 1958..

Whites

Blues

Khakis

and combat BDUs were all he had.

Yeah big navy is trying to cut back on all the uniforms. e6 and below now have khaki tops and navy blue trousers to replace white/blue working uniforms. New blue cami work uniform and they are also updated the dress blues/whites to look nicer. Cant find a picture to attach but they look good.

My dad was also around when he had a BAR and Winchester Model 12 as well as a 1911 Colt .45...... how times have changed.

Out of the onslaught of dumb posts in this thread, this has to be the winner.
Let me make this really, really simple for you. Oil that comes out of Middle Eastern sands and oil that comes out of a rocky landscape such as the San Rafael swell is extremely different. The rock oil that comes from San Rafael is extremely expensive to treat and make into petrol.

The United States has bought Iraqi oil above market price..in order to bolster their economy.

You wouldn't know that though, because you're so blinded by your political orientation.

I take my previous statement back...
First of all what are you even trying to imply with this statement? That we are generous? The subsidy in Iraqi oil that you are talking about was/is so minimal compared to what we are getting for future investment from that place that the fact you are saying that is comedy to my ears. This isn't a debate about the morality of the war or anything. It's pure cold hard fact. I'm not saying the US sucks and is oil greedy I am saying this is what's going to happen. It literally is not debatable unless we throw a non pro-US government into Iraq.
What exactly is my political orientation Button? I think you need to be asking yourself who is the blind one here. You said nothing about my previous post and spewed out some irrelevant point. Congrats.
