Hunter Biden's book is absolutely insane. I'm listening the audio version which he reads the whole thing. He admits not being able to function unless he had vodka. Then just locking himself into his apartment for weeks on end just drinking day and night. Admits to sweating where the bed is drenched every morning and not being able to function unless he takes more sips of vodka to get through the day.
The crack stories are even more insane. Locking himself in motels for weeks just smoking crack. Then finding homeless people to bring him to his next high having them run and get more crack for him. He admits to spending tens of thousands of dollars on crack. He was up for 13 days straight just on a crack binge.... And it would just happen over, and over and over for years on end. He'd get clean for a few weeks, then binge a week, get clean, binge. Insane
Gotta admit, i respect the guy for putting all that info out there to try and get some help.

The election will likely be dictated by three things over the next ~18 months:
1. The economy:
Do we rebound or do we hit a recession? If we hit a recession it's an uphill battle for Biden. It will be interesting to see where inflation is in a year and what the current administration does to try to combat it. Of the 4 incumbents who lost, 3 faced record inflation and high unemployment. History isn't on Biden's side if that's the case.
2. Abortion:
Does the GOP further push anti-abortion measures in swing states?
We may have seen an indication of how that will go for the GOP with the Wisconsin Supreme Court election last month where the Democratic candidate won by 11%, a massive margin in what is traditionally a very purple state.
Abortion is currently radioactive yet the GOP keeps pushing their agenda despite almost national opposition, regardless of party affiliation.
Any GOP candidate is likely to get absolutely hammered by this topic in the primary for the nomination and then at the national level. Pro-Life groups have already indicated they will not support a nominee if they do not advocate for a 15-week federal ban and these groups have a LOT of power among the GOP base. But if the nominee does embrace this, then there is unlimited ammo for any pro-Democratic PAC to go after them.
3. Voting Access:
The GOP has shown that they want to make voting harder, not easier, for many citizens. This includes controversial topics such as voter ID, early absentee voting, mail-in ballots, and less controversial topics like # of voting locations, voting locations themselves, and even voter registration.
The more public and draconian the obstacles are, the less likely the GOP is to win. We saw this in 2018, 2020, and 2022 election periods. The GOP were either accused of, or actually did, try to run on anti-voter platforms. This playbook is being replicated again for 2022. A prominent GOP strategist recently was caught advocating for these platforms at an RNC meeting which indicates they will keep trying until they succeed.
If the Democrat Party can galvanize voters to prevent these measures from being implemented in their states, it will likely help Biden repeat as POTUS.
Obviously there's the chance for Trump to put his foot in his mouth again and lose more of the undecided voters or for Biden to encounter a scandal that could outweigh these three topics. But if things hold constant, these three factors will decide the 2024 outcome.

I'd love to have mail in voting for every state along with a national holiday for election day so people can vote. Bring in ranked choice for primaries and campaign funding/length limits and I'm getting close.
