The Stoked Thread

I'd only get the 2.8 if you take your ski photography really seriously. I opted for the f/4 because it weighs half as much, which will be really nice when I'm backcountry skiing and have the chest pack on. That, and the only time I will be using a telephoto regularly is skiing, and I kind of doubt I would ever use f/2.8 for that. Although it would have been pretty nice the past couple months with the number of portraits I have shot with the 70-200...

not to mention half the price. Same thing for when I got mine. I only use it for skiing, and it turns out you never need f/2.8 when everything around you is white and bright. and it's nicer to carry around

i have jmos too, mounted at -2cm from center, 2/2.5 rocker on tip and tail, though i think my flex was one of the stiffer jeronimos made.

Word. Haven't slept in 48 hours and going strong for a couple more hours. I've had more coffee and redbull the last two days than practically the rest of my life combined.

Personally, I raised $150 for the Free Care Fund at the childrens hospital, and I would estimate that we grossed $1500 between us all.

Stoked.

ok im not sure if its journal or baker i heart...what a fucking playground that place is

Ced is a dirty french rail pirate...holy fuck

maybe this should be in the stoned thread...

Yeah I've been running into those crazy sleep deprived babes who go nuts as soon as they taste caffeine. Always good to talk on a midnight coffee run.

Stoked.

I was a bit worried about my skiing skills as I grew up with flat 500' hills to ski. Coming up to even VT proved to me how I wasn't that good of a skier.

Reason I am stoked is because I am improving leaps and bounds in my technical skiing abilities.

1hr countdown till hitting the road for a full weekend:

- 8:00am: Huge breakfast of eggs and maple bacon

- 8:30-4:00pm: Full day of skiing

- 4:30pm: Leave VT and drive back to ottawa

- 9:00-4am: Co hosting our anual Wine and Cheese (Smashed with Class) drunk fest

- 9:00am: drive to tremblant for a second ski day

- 9pm: sleep like a baby

stoked because i worked out for the first time in two weeks and i feel like jello.

i feel somewhat accomplished.

and i'd like to apologize for not being too active around here in the past weeks, i've had a lot going on school wise and it will be that way for a little while longer.

.... fucking engineering schools haha.

and back to the stoke, i get to ski tomorrow!

and i got a 450$ bonus check from my summer job!!!!!

I just got home. I did not sleep last night. College is awesome sometimes.

Oh yeah, and I will probably be doing it again tonight. My massive workload is going to take a hit, but it's worth it!

Just got back from seeing my buddy at the hospital (the one that has been in there for almost 2 months now)....hes doing fucking AMAZING now, talking to us and shit....so stoked!

I had a friend who made a full recover out of coma, they thought half of her brain was dead at one point, miracles happen. :D so happy for you and your friend.

That's so good to here about your friend:
I'm stoked because:1) Woke up super early, packed the car, and drove to Whiteface cranking classic rock tunes the entire way there2) Skied in the park for the first time today and as I always do every first day in the park, realize I'll never be (fill in ANY pro skier here) ever. Though I must say, throwing 360 safeties and switch 180s never felt better. 3) Sarah took care of my dog today while I was gone. When I got home at 5:30 she was just leaving my house. We haven't seen each other in 2 weeks. When we saw each other...4) I'm going to make a dank dinner tonight and bang out some work

Said fuck the workload of school, drove to Wenatchee last night, slept on Will's (V..) floor (he is such a kick ass host), and had a terrific day skiing on all manmade snow in a ribbon of death at Mission Ridge.

Just found a new Blackalicious song to rock to (Reanimation) and am enjoying my first after ski glow of the year. Lifts are a cool thing after hiking all summer.

snow? where we're going we don't need snow.

I am! I am!

That storm's only supposed to get here Tuesday, and it's supposed to be cold as hellll tommorow, but I'm stoked to be going shredding for the first time in ...20 months??? Shawing. Last winter was depressing.

I just hope my car starts after a day of riding...I have to hook up my computer everytime I want to start my car to screw around with my car's ECU...sketch.

Learn from me everyone; Your car is meant to work with the engine it comes with. Period.

Now that's just awesome. I thought I had it good going out with a (quite good-looking) nursing student this week, but I just can't fathom what you just did. Bravo!

I payed $1.71 a gallon today, stoked.
Its gonna be so much easier to drive to the mountain this winter, thank god

It is 3 degrees out, bluebird, and Killington got 10 inches of snow.

I know what I am doing today.

All the driving paid off this weekend. Headed up to Jay friday night, for a great little condo party, ski movies and then fun day on saturday. So great ungroomed runs. Drove home saturday night for a great wine and cheese, tons of fine looking ladies and over 50 bottles of wine. Got up around 9:30 on sunday and drove to tremblant. Feeling annoyed at tourists we board the gondy and random guy spots our fat skis and hops in and starts talking. Turns out he the top video guy for the hill and was bored of skiing alone that day so we headed off with him for all the secret stashes, spent the whole day lapping over 6" of fresh and ungroomed runs. http://tremblantsnowreport.com/

Yeah...too bad he couldn't keep up, the best stuff was the lower section. On that site I posted theres another of a great run in the trees, he drops in first and about halfway in you see me and my buddy blow past on both sides of him
