The Stoked Thread

yeah thats A LOT of ski for me or id rock them and give a donation to help the cause. shiiiiiiit

Well.....there are 3 191cm skis and 2 186cm skis right now. But I have 5 other skis draw up, all 179cm or under.....if you are interested.

If you want, shoot me a PM and we can discuss developing a ski.

And yeah, these are 191cm measuring tape pulled tip to tail.

All I have to say is wait for the great scott

I'm in line for pair number 2 of this model (hence it being my namesake) and will be mounting them with 916s and skiing them as soon as I get them. Pics and review will follow ASAP. I can't wait!

Right now, this is the first real pair that will actually end up on snow. There is about 20 more in the works, and depending on time and my move to Portland or Seattle, I may have to hold off for a bit with building.

I may try and make a all out, month long run in May-June, full time before I move, to get as many skis out as possible.

Then, the ideal plan, would be to try and find $50,000-$100,000 to invest in this, get a real shop, a couple cnc routers, a $10,000 planer, a number of real ski presses, etc, and get this going. but that would take time to set up.

In the mean time, all the testers would be breaking and bashing the skis out there so that when the new shop is set up I can get into building more.

Right now testers are $300 or so plus shipping. A bit high, but to let you know what the skis have cost me to build right now, after 20 pairs....right around $900-1000 per pair....

If anyone in here wants to be in the ON3P cult, just go to the forum homepage and request it and I will let you in. Lots of info in there.

Gotta get those economies of scale cranking..all in good time though I guess.

PS. Very sexy skis.

Yeah. When you need to build a ski press (several grand) plus buy all the tools I have had to buy....which has got to be at least $4000 or so in tools, it adds up quick. Then had to build all the shop stuff, which was about $750....

Plus I had had to replace the templates twice before I got good ones, so that was about $1000 down the drain, plus other stuff.

It is crazy how much stuff adds up.

But once everything is FINALLY set up, it is really just materials and small things here and there and that number will come down.

But yeah, that number includes every single thing I have had to buy for this...which is everything in the shop.

yea, I've been boarding around here for a little bit now. I just ripped the grip off my deck, it was all worn out, so now I need to re-grip it before I can ride again, but there's a sweet hill a little ways from here that we might take a camera to next time we go, so I'll get some shots. (triple tree)

I'm lovin it so far, it isn't the toughest bar you can buy but it's better than nothing.

Now I just need to play with electric stuff and hook up my fog lights on that shit. I should goof around and hook up a killswitch on all my rear lights like my old truck had, it was so badass being able to flip a switch and go completely dark on the rear end.

looks good! looks strong enough to take a little abuse, as opposed to most that are cosmetic only and end up doing more damage to the front end if you ever bump anything.

Stoked to pick up a new exhaust system for mine today so it doesn;t sound like a tank anymore. Not stoked its costing a ton

I know I'm scared too, I don't know if you noticed the way my truck sounded but I have a huge hole in my muffler right now.

hmmmmmm new kayak > new exhaust.........I don't mind the tank sounds the beast has been making lately.

Rascal Flatts was pretty damn wicked. Holy hell were there a lot of hot girls at that concert. Plenty of them jail bait, but still, hot.

I am so SUPER DUPER FUCKING STOKED for Jon Brogan. I have skied with this kid for the last three years, well sort of. hahahaha I watch him a lot, he rides in the same crew as my son. It wasn't that long ago that his friend Pat Krewziski was draggin him along to the slopes so that he had someone to ride with. That person was Jon. I watched Jon quickly develop the style he has now last year and progress very quickly. with clean landings and dialed in stylish tricks, nothing complicated, just a smooth operator.

I knew that his parents weren't supportive and that his mother is a school teacher and that he was often skipping school to be able to ski. I watched him in a lot of cases shy, but really intense with the way he would focus and hit stuff, yet always was smiling about it, yet at the same time saying how bad he sucked. hahahaha

I never understood why I couldn't get him to post on line, yet quietly he released a back yard edit last summer and then the Super Unkown Video. The reason I am telling you all of this was......

Last weekend, his mother had an epiphany (sp) and spent a good solid hour explaining all I could to her, she is now amazed and totally fasinated and now SUPPORTIVE to his skiing. Yes!

So yah.... so super stoked for this kid!

seriously! i skate a ton but i can't do tricks. good balance - check, some manualing abilities - check, olliie'n skills - BAD, or um no existent

Tonight is my physio interview. Getting pretty nervous!!! But I'm ready for it.

Then off to Kicking Horse tomorrow for my birthday weekend! Should be lots of fun. Plus it's closing weekend which is always a good time.

The Trews, at a small, maybe 200-300 person show last night.

God fucking DAMN can those canadians put on an absolute hell of a show.

My ears are still ringing this evening.

Yay I came home from work pissed the frig off and totally wound tight. Hopped on my skiers edge for a bit while rocking out to sublime -haha- and then took a walk around albany. The weight has been completely lifted! I also forgot how nice albany can be in the spring time. Only downside is that I miss my nice digs which overlooked washington park (its sort of/kind of like a mini central park )....now I live in the ghetto and have about 2 months until I start hearing gunshots from a block away at night. I need to get back into the "respectable" neighborhood, too bad its so expensive. Hmm I wonder if the Emperors Club is hiring....

We have 6 shapes right now, all between 186-191. But going to add a bunch around 179.

and yeah, I think there will be....4-6 different shapes that could fit that role in some way

hmmmmm, i'd definitely be interested in testing it out for you, soft flex with the rocker, center mount no doubt

I'm a consumer whore.

I'm so stoked in anticipation of new on3ps that I bought dukes tonight. I now have a surplus pair of 916s. lol. Now I just need April powder.
