The Stoked Thread

I listened to "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" on my way to Buffalo last summer. Such a good story teller.

"What does it all mean?"

The answer to the universe, of course, is 42. Don't forget your towel.*

Awesome video.

*I have not completely lost my mind, it's a Douglas Adams reference. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

The new lady friend is fucking amazing in bed. Always something to be stoked on. Especially after the last one was a bit of a dud in that department.

Also stoked on snow! Or coming snow. If it dumps, I might have to make the trek down yankee way to Baker to join the mini-on3p party on Sunday.

Jay sucked today. yarg!!!

Sunday. Baker opening. Already 34" base. That is close to double Whistler. I'll be there. Any Vancity cats want a ride down? I'm leaving the crack o' dawn sunday from the North Shore.

i realized my error as soon as i posted. my bad

just got a cortisone shot to the knee, hopefully i'll be skiing soon!!

This is kinda bitter sweet since its such a daunting transition, but I graduate from college in a week.

The busy schedule with finals and bullshit has eaten a lot of my time (big reason why I haven't been on here in awhile), but it'll be nice to be done with it.

stoked on the Tanner getting busted for weed thread... i mean, i feel for Tanner, getting arrested sucks, but it's still fucking hilarious.
also, stoked on the 8-14 LVSSR is forecasted to get over the next 48 hrs and my parents shipping my gear today!

I got to go out and shred some pow on the on3p's today, it was sick! There was probably 6" or so of new, but up high where it hadn't been tracked we were finding quite a bit of stuff that was knee deep or so. It was really, really nice to get on some chairlifts for a change, despite the fact that it was probably at least 20 below up top.

Also, I experienced one of the greatest feats of awesomeness ever performed yesterday. I was supposed to meet a girl at a friend's house to smoke hookah and drink some nice tall boys, and we were just heading back to the house when she asked me where we were. I replied (this is in a text) "en route." Her response: "lol wheres that?" I had started feeling kind of bad about how quickly my friendships with girls come and go, but I think this sufficiently justified it--and then some. Now I am left with a serious dilemma: Do I go with my instinct and avoid her like unintelligence is contagious, or do I keep hanging out with her until I tire of laughs at her expense?

Just got done with a shirtless snowball fight, did some snow angels too.

I'm going skiing the next two days. It doesn't get more stoked than this.

got our first real snow last night and today :D I love how the world changes when the white magic touches everything. mmmmm feels good in the soul.

The storm continues, suppose to snow tomorrow, monday, tuesday and wednesday. fuck yeah!

Tomorrow night i'm doing a 60's and 70's costume birthday party at the old shoe, so fucking excited. I even found a pair of hot pink gogo boots... how can i not have a fucking awesome night in those? :P

wow...i pulled everything in my body.

Going from no physical activity to skiing park for 5 hours and bailing lots...bad idea

you probably were game for sensual pitty 'healing' by hawt ladies-- until you grew a third ass. now you're just going to get charlie horses from your roomates eh?

Pretty stoked on the skiing/snowboarding I did at EV today. I've never skied such good champaign powder in Quebec but there was a fair base about waist deep with the turns at about knee deep, Skied some closed runs all day without any hassles from patrol, and teed up some pretty sweet pillow lines for our 900ft of vertical. (and that's generous...)
BTW nice article Rogge didn't peg you for only 23 years young lol

Ya I was surprised I couldn't find anyone that wanted to/could go down. Did the drive all by my lonesome. Wasn't too bad though. 2h 15 on the way down, 2h flat coming back.

How cold was it on hill? I was supposed to go to whistler tomorrow for a few days which is why I passed on baker, but now that's off so I should've gone. I haven't been to baker in like 2 years either. Pretty good there? No opening day base damage?

Not cold really. Don't really know the temp, but I'd guess it at -10ish? Nothing compared to -22 yesterday at Whis. And yes, VERY good there. And yes, opening day base damage. Dime sized deep coreshot on the Wrenegades. Right smack in the middle of the ski though, so it should be easy to fix. Other than that, just minor scrapes and scratches. The ON3Ps held up very well, that stump/rock I landed on would have done major damage to pretty much any ski out there (maybe not ARGs/JJs with the super slow/hard bases). Lots of other stuff I thought would do damage but escaped with hardly anything at all.

I would still go to Baker both tomorrow or tuesday because there is still tons of snow left. Was still skiing fresh tracks at 2pm. And while it is supposed to be cold the next 2 days, it will probably be warmer than Whistler. And everything up there (apart from the Glacier) is a skating rink.
