That's sick. Yeah I figured as much about w/b. I had my lines all sharp and waxed ready for tomorrow, but I no longer have a couch to crash on and sleeping in my car at -25 sounds like not so much fun, and certainly not worth it for the skiing I'd be doing (if I didn't freeze to death after 2 runs). Tuesday or wednesday might be worth doing down in wawa land, let me know if you're going, one of those days there's supposed to be a small uptick in the temps to 5 or so around here. Dunno about down there, but I imagine something similar.

I'm going out backcountry skiing tomorrow, which means I get to break in the new camera setup for skiing! I'll get some pictures up tomorrow evening if I get time and if it isn't too cold to want to shoot.

nothing too exciting haha just a kona coiler. Hardly been used though cause the guy got into mx pretty soon after buying it. I'm looking forward to getting it though, it'll be my first fully. probably swap the triples for a single crown fork at some point in the near future and maybe upgrade the shock to something more newer too. Have to get rid of my old bike first though. Sad to see that go, it was the first bike I'd ever put together myself haha

Ugh, some of you guys got pegged so good. We picked up 10" and then a half inch of ice on top finished off the storm.

bummmed to leave my skis behind anywhere, but stoked that when i get back home in a week they'll be fresh tuned courtesy of my buddy!

page!

haha, I got one!

Stoked on a fucking good weekend. Best in a long time. Friday night with the lady friend, saw Madagascar 2 which is hilarious (yes, I am a kid), rest of the night was...uh..fun. Saturday, got up and skied Blackcomb all day in the freezing cold, but pretty decent snow. Sunday, woke up to 4" outside my house, but convinced the mom that the solo drive to Baker wouldn't be a problem. Ridiculous day, skiing pow, in the sun. Back home, awesome family dinner, Canucks won, and went to the lady friend's place again for a bath and foot rub. Not a bad way to end a weekend of skiing! Went through a lot of gas in 2 days, and 590km, but it was worth it.

The fact that you provide no details on this long trip makes me suspicious. I will therefore assume that you drove to the states to dispose of a corpse.

Though the border guard thought my traction sand container looked like a bomb

Hahahahaha I've had the same thing. Except it was 2 of us on the way to WA state in a big cargo van full of duffle bags (which had ski clothing belonging to people we were meeting, blankets and other stuff in them) and 3 buckets of sand. 2 shady unshaven guys going through the border in a cargo van full of duffle bags and buckets... what's in the buckets? "Uhhh... Sand."

Yeah we were there for a bit.

I crossed the border twice yesterday using an expired passport. Neither the US or Canadian border guards noticed. The US guy even swiped the bar code. You'd think the first thing that would pop up would be a red flag stating the passport was expired right? I didn't even realize it myself until after I was back in Canada. Wasn't even close either. Yay border security!

raining hard and verra chilly here in Gangsta Valley (i live in an area formerly called Green Valley, which will now be referred to as Gangsta Valley, since i now live there) which means SNOW in the mountains! i talked to S. last night and was kicked in the balls when she made sure to let me know the mountains around her had more than that, but :P Sarah! i like our snow anyway, ya cunt! my ski shit should be here Friday, so i'm stoked for skiing over Christmas!
the only downside is that Fred's taking off on the 22nd and not getting back until Jan. 10 or so, so i'll be spending Christmas and New Year's alone and damn-near broke. weak shit.

google it... and try not to laugh.
and, yes, i've been there. and another place called Show and Tell. my screen name's a warning, not a claim.

the nearly broke part is the catch... if i had a job already, it would be a different story. it's good to have someone else around when i run out of weed for a few hours to smoke me down until i pick up more.
no worries, it's just motivation to start hanging out with the stripper i told you about.

Skiing was awesome today. It was about -20 in the parking lot so nobody showed up, but there was an inversion so it ended up being 5-10 degrees on top. We went and checked out the open boundary policy, scoped out a few new lines (fall and die), and then ended up skiing one new one that was pretty sweet. Lots of pow, a few good cliffs, and lots of pictures, so overall it was a great day! Unfortunately my computer is refusing to save any changes I make to photos right now, so I don't have much worth showing for the time being.

Christ today was cold. It was sick shredding with Cobra, Caylor, David and Grant (skierboy16) and Kevywevy (homeboys from Kirkland). Got some remaining faceshots, but Will and Alex didnt leave much for us.

oh, and if anyone wants to rate my video i'd appreciate it, things you want to say are helpful too, im always looking to improve so constructive criticism is key (note saying my edit was weak, and rating it a 1 like eastar5 isnt what im looking for).

It's good. Only thing I would've liked to see is more variation in the angles of which it was shot at. Move around some. It did get a little repetitive with the same angle throughout.

Oh, and Winter Weather Advisory. It may not be much as they are calling for 3-6, but I'm hoping the mountains pick up more. I am free all day tomorrow and hoping to rip some powder.

yeah, its only one jump though, which hurts, there were 3 angles, could have been worse, haha, but ill work on it, it will be easier once the real parks are open.

Weighing my options and one that came across my desk is teaching abroad. Pretty stoked that I'm discovering more options now rather than later.

We did a little work to set up this hit this summer, and it is $$$:

Jay's local weather forecast for Wed through Monday. "No doubt about it – we should see at least 16” and probably 2 to 2’1/2 feet of powder to Jay Peak."

I'd say yes cause 1. the snow's gonna be dope, 2. Mandy, me, and the rest of the crew will be wasted, and 3. i'm bringing up a 10 pound bag of fries to make the mother of all poutine meals.

Yeah, powder days are showing up bigtime.

4-8" forecasted for K tonight thru tomorrow AM, I'm expecting more though.

Friday is snow, and then a Nor'Easter with all snow is shaping up for Sunday night.

Dope!
