The OFFICIAL bs/mlb 12/13 thread

I'll be there all opening day weekend.

Say hi if you want, we'll take a few laps if you want.

I might or might not have cookies or other types of food on my person.

hell yes! I'm working jah swifty again this year, mon-thurs, I expect to see lots of you guys out there! this season is gonna be sick

as of right now, it looks like we'll have ramcharger, explorer and swifty open. swifty may only open for a few hours unless we get more snow than we already have. unfortunately our snowmaking capabilities stop at the top of explorer, so that strip of mr. k above that lift is all natural snow and coverage isn't that awesome at the moment. but there's shit in the forecast so fingers crossed!!!!!

talk to nate/snowedout about what will be in 2.0. I like what I'm seeing so far though

butter box (ride on)

small flat box (small gap on)

14ft flat box (small gap on)

See u opening day

^Stoked for opening. What's the deal with the Never Summer box? Is it like a traveling feature or something? How come there's only like 5 more days to hit it?

update on lift openings, no ramcharger, the warm weather has made it impossible to blow more snow on tippys. swifty still unsure. looks like we may just have explorer, crapets and 2.0 until we get some stormage

Jump is down to 25ft due to this wet snow (slow)

Rumors Im hearing is if we get 6 in we will open explorer, swifty, tripple and challenger.

We are at about 3in now

BOYCOTT BIG SKY GO TO MOONLIGHTBig Sky and their managers don't give two shits about their employees, everything is overpriced and overrated. Moonlight's park is better, way more organized, and run by people who know what theyre doing.

moonlight also hosted the a stop of the freeskiing world tour last winter so they have solid allmountain skiing too.

FUck the corporate bullshit, spend your money at moonlight

maybe that's why Moonlight Basin has been in bankruptcy since 2009, and stopped paying their share of the cost of operations for the Skyline bus, leaving Big Sky to pick up the whole tab?

Oh, but wait! The Lehman brothers settled Moonlight Basins debt earlier this year by buying it out, effectively turning it into a corporate holding! Cuz fuck corporations right?

And no, Big Sky definitely doesn't have any real big mountain terrain, no sir! Definitely not a Tram accessing the top of Lone peak, or access to near limitless backcountry, or even the North summit snow fields in conjunction with Moonlight Basin itself!

You realize half the people who visit the MT/WY forum work or ski at Big Sky right?

And personally, I thought that other than a little bit of hierarchy problems, Big Sky did a pretty good job managing most of the departments I ever interacted with... but what do I know, I definitely haven't worked at both resorts!

The Bowl is open, Challenger has one run open, Liberty Bowl has potential to open but no promises. Ramcharger will hopefully be open. Swifty has 4 groomers open with lots of tree access which is a little sketch, but skiable and I've been enjoying it. I'd say its worth the drive and a free lift ticket.

hell yeah it is!

It's freeekin' awesome up there. Seriously. A bit boney, but some awesome terrain is open. Gully shredding all day. bring rock skis, stick to the gullies, and play in the goodness.

So many smiles it's unreal.

Big Sky was so much fun yesterday. A little rocky at the top of challenger but once you got down lower in the trees there was plenty of fresh snow to be had. supposed to get 1-2 inches more tonight so this weekend should be even better!

i meant gullies as in lower, gullied out areas of the mountain, not the actual run/area. I don't know big sky at all.

bowl has been skiing quite good. i think his point was, stay between the obvious rock patches.

its coming down pretty good right now. got the next two days off. pumped.

Serious rain in the canyon when I left tonight at like 8. It's definitely going to ice up overnight so leave early and drive slow guys :)

Anybody get any of that sick pow friday and saturday? Sickest skiing of the year by far. We got into Bears Lair right after it opened and there was at least 2ft+ everywhere you looked.

Moonlight Basin has been epic this past weekend. Went up monday and it was blower pow, pretty deep in some areas too.

words can't even express the level of epic today was. also, south face opening this weekend. tits deep on paradise today

well, i was a lazy hungover POS yesterday and decided my couch would be a better place to be than on the mountain skiing the 20 inches that fell during the day.

hope there are some leftovers today. i assume there will be, as the mountain has been empty all week.

paradise sounds delicious

so it looks like Dakota will be closing mid week, probably just for part of the season though. I am guessing they will re-open it daily once the tourist season starts.

I'm here till the 30th I think, but will be at moonlight after Christmas due to my bronze pass.

But say what's up and take some laps. I'm wearin a saga Stormtrooper with black pants and red splices

dakota opens this weekend for the rest of the season. gullies opened today. shits a little hard out there but still, better than last season. plus the park is pretty dang rad. our crew will probably be hanging out in there until the snow falls again
