My take:

Honesty is refreshing, whatever form it may take. Even if I don't agree with it...especially if I don't agree with it. Tanner doesn't have a filter and I love that.

Thall has a point and doing a trick you can't do in front of a green screen for an ad is dumb and kind of embarrassing. I think we all agree that a girl actually grabbing mute on a 9 in the pipe is not something that happens in the real world.

Bringing up stuff that Tanner has done/said in the past is stupid...so is talking about how his comments/behavior affect his marketability (this is extra stupid).

Just my take, everybody calm down.
 
I think we are all missing the point that a girl claims she can grab and spin. That's where the real craziness is

Clearly you never watched MSP movies before...Shane green screened a bunch of shots for the bond segment in Seven Sunny Days...MUST BE A SELLOUT. And I am a huge fan of Shane, CR, Sarah, Arne, the list goes on, but they didn't GIVE their life for the sport. They crashed and died, and that sucks but it's not like they were fighting for the freedom of skiers everywhere.

Also, we don't know what she's doing in the green screen. Everyone seems to think because of her comment that she's green screening a right nine mute, but she's just suspended there. I'm curious to see what the finished product will be.
 
Tanner is a badass but all the skiers going to the Olympics aren't full of shit. And why the fuck would work they work their asses of then get to Sochi and do an entire run of 180s? Regardless what they think of the Olympics that would be the biggest waist and only look bad on the US.
 
Hmmm, I can see why she would do the green screen (easy to get perfect shot) But I think its sooo much better to be legit and get real shots, even if they arent as good.

There is no pipe currently open in North America to do a photo shoot for the Olympics. She is just trying to get paid, there is nothing wrong with trying to make money when you are a broke pro. And the Olympics in general are going to be 50/50. Cool that our sport is there, but sucks that it is going to change it into kinda shit. Bobby Brown is going to become the poster boy for skiing because he is the most photogenic and doesn't have youtube videos of him hitting a blunt. So in the end you can't want the sport to be respected then take a shit in your pants when it hits the ultimate level of respect. THE OLYMPICS
 
The best part about tanner is he always says what is on his mind with absolutely no filter. Sure he flip flops, sure he says the wrong thing, and all of that other stuff but we always know what he's thinking. I don't agree with much of it but when tanner talks, EVERYONE listens. So many of the professionals in skiing from skiers to marketers have to keep their mouth shut and never say anything less than compliments. If you think sometimes whack, do something about it. Sure, I wouldn't advise companies to talk shit to each other but you get the point.
 
You know, I could explain my opinion, but it's really not worth it because 90% of people on NS are much stupider than I am and just won't understand. Downvote me motherfuckers!
 
Tanner basically said what everyone was thinking.

So did LOS and Lolo, so it made me sad that Tanner didn't laugh it off with a funny comment ala the acting like an ass one.

Based on this, it would appear that Tanner indeed gives a lot of fucks.
