Starting to get keen on surfing again. Now that skiing is winding down.

Frothing on a few south coast trips. Drink piss and get barrelled what gives

Personal fav.

No new edit but this vid came at the right time for me. Was 15 years old and frothing on surfing more than I ever have .

Intro is lengthy.. Take some time out to watch this edit. Aint no hi-fi shit it's just plain surf.

 
Anyone into kitesurfing? Living in Florida I don't get the chance to actually surf real waves all that often but the wind is pretty consistent in the winter and its so much fun.

i want julian to win the title, but parko to win the pipe masters. he would be the first in history to win the triple crown and pipe masters. it would be fucking legendary. easily the best mic drop in the history of the sport hahaha

Man I wanted to see Julian win it. He’s so due for a title. Jordy too, though he was out of contention by the time pipe came around. And if they didn’t have a water angle Kelly would have gotten a ten. You couldn’t tell he fell off from the front.

Also it’s been pretty fun here in jersey. I need something a bit longer and round pin-ier. More tail rocker too.
 
If anyone wants to hit tourmaline or the boarwalk, maybe even marine street or the cliffs. Im a san diegi native and would love to hit the beach with anyone on here sometime.
 
Any surfers on Vancouver island? I've mostly been going out and surfing alone, but would be keen to find a surf pal

Going to rincon Puerto Rico in 3 weeks from yesterday, I think the plan is to try surfing at least once..probably just gonna rent a big foamy and try my best at standing up, not expecting to get good or experience much lol but should be fun!
 
Been in south jersey the past few months. 5 min to the beach and I work from home 2 days a week so it’s been super fun getting out and learning to surf. It’s definitely struck a passion in me like skiing did when I was 10.

I surf central jersey, which is a thing. Today was probably fun but work and stuff. It's been a pretty good winter thus far.

Today (Monday) looks great down my way, but I’m stuck in Kentucky. I typically go out for solo sessions but we should try to link up at some point and get some rips in. I get along with skiers who surf better than I get along with surfers.

My work called a snow day so I’m thinking about it. I feel like there’s gonna be a small window. it’s a weird direction and it’s a combo of like NE, E and ESE or something silly like that.

Edit: It was actually super fun. Not wonky at all, bunch of lefts, was kinda fat at first but then it got punchy out of nowhere. Very cold though.

its was good for like a whole month! im actually stoked its mellowing out and i can ride my longboard again. gold coast better pray for some south swell so then can get sand back in the bank before the quicky pro cause the cyclone fucked it right up

Hawaii was mellow. Only logged while I was there. Swell picked up the last couple days, but the wind was horrendous. One evening things lined up and I saw probably 50 guys paddle out at sunsets on guns, big waves, pretty cool.

fuck yeah! you been getting out on the island a bit too? i had one of the best log days in recent memory a couple days ago. also had a couple really fun seshs with jer and lauren when they were here
 
been riding a longboard heaps lately. Got a fun lil 9 4 Beau Young longboard which goes so well. So hard to get off it once you're in the groove. Just a few photos from said longboard
 
Brennan’s wave is breaking up finally, the runoff season is going to make it impossible to surf for a month at the least this year, should make for a long peak wave year though.

Haven't posted on NS in a while...

Surfed for 5 hours straight on Sunday. Gonna be good this weekend again. I love September. Also I got a twin keel. So good forehand, still need to get used to it backhand.

Leaving for 'Murica tomorrow. Had a fun surf this morning for a couple hours. Didn't really catch anything good, but felt bettet at paddling around, diving under bigger(for me) waves and even matching speed for some less formed stuff.

So even though I didn't really get a good ride this time felt more comfortable in the water for sure.

Hoping to bring my board out to CA with me from NY, get a new wetsuit and get out to the coast every once in a while .

I don't really swim ever anymore and do the year round winter thing but been cool to get a few days in the last 2 weeks.

Have been thinking about doing a month in central America or anywhere honestly in the spring and surfing more often. Been a thought for years, hoping I can do it next season or the one after. Also might fly down to Australia a week early next year to get some time at the coast before heading back to the snow.

One of the guys I work with here and surfed with 2 weeks ago just bought a board here so maybe we csn get similar days off and get a few mid seasosn trips. Always nice to gtfo of the mtns.

Random ramble.

Still full on kooksquad but it feels good to be fairly comfortable navigating some the ocean at some different spots.

Stamina and pop up game can use some work but we'll get there.

Trying to get better at some things that aren't snowboarding. Bought a skateboard here and rode it a bunch. Gonna try and get ski boots this year and get out in the baby park this winter.

Some seriously heavy waves, only caught a few over the course of like 5 hours haha

I got out in the water this morning in Scarborough Maine. Pretty solid 6ft swell but strong offshore winds. There was also this one kook out there complaining about not getting NS member of the month twice in a row. Overall solid sesh tho.

I miss surfing. Was stoked to get back out this last summer. Was ready to take more surf trips this season but now stuck in murica. I so have a board at my parents house in ny. Maybe ill try and take a trip to maine or somewhere with it when the world chills out.

Was thinking of finally doing a skate, snowboard, surf day in CA but corona has sorta put a damper on that shit.

Been surfing throughout this whole thing, I've had no problems surfing in Mass.

Some great swell has come through this spring. Hoping it keeps up! Especially sense all the skiing is closed
