they ran the guns and made snow one morning last week as a test, but nothing has been made with any attempt to open yet. I'd say we're still a couple of weeks away.
looks pretty good, I'm little concerned that 2 pipes is gonna take up a lot of space, also can't figure out wtf is going on at the top of the new trails, are those supposed to be moguls or some kind of weirdass pump track or something?
Help me out locals. I am currently applying at SR with the hope and intent to land a job on the snowmaking crew. Problem is, I'm from NH and I need to find housing. What's the best place for me to find a little 1 bedroom or something similar? Anyone looking for a room mate?
They are putting a park at the bottom of 3D and leaving the top moguls. They are considering putting a mini pipe in the 3D park aswell as some medium jumps and rails
Rumford is going to be your cheepest option. I would advise against snowmaking. That shit is way to dangerous for what it is. Nothing like a metal blown up hose headd to the face. Look into lift ops or park crew. Also if you get a place in rumford dont live on cumberland st, waldo st, the brick park, or franklin st.
What's wrong with something being dangerous? Just means you need to be extra careful. I know it's going to be a super hard job to do but it seems incredibly rewarding. I'm heading up tomorrow to talk with the head of snowmaking and I guess I'll take it from there
No update on snowmaking. I moved to utah this year. Its not about being careful its shit that is out of your hands. You cant controll a hose blowing up. A big number of people have died snowmaking. Deadliest ski industry job and deadliest job involving high compressed air and high flow water. Its also the roughest job on mountian. Snowmakers deserve15 a hour after training but dont get it ever. Also bear in mind you will get laid off around the begining of febuary and thats if you are lucky. Also beware that some of your fellow employees trip sack while working which is fucking insane.
Just Sunday River tryin to keep us in the dark. It would be sweet if its like opening where they dont say nothin and then just come through big. We shall see!
