STEVENS PASS THREAD!!

Hopefully its closed tomorrow. Selfish I know, but I want some untracked on saturday morning before it gets tracked out fast.
 
highway 2 is currently open to cars

ski area website / snow phone claim they plan to be open in the morning

if truthiness is correct tomorrow, i'll be there

 
I will to, yay. You weekend fuckers are gonna be skiing my tracks all Saturday, I wont leave a stash untouched.

Eh, 4:21AM and i'm up too. Whenever Stevens does open tomorrow (technically today), it should be good. Some good wind drifts i'm sure.
 
stevens is closed due to so much snow that the chairs need to be dug out and they don't have power but highway 2 is open now but check back for updates
 
worst news ever actually. i busted my ass at work this week to go skiing today. then the snow phone at 4am says opening at noon, so i figured a couple hours of work, then skiing. now the snow phone says not open at all today, so im at work with my skis in the car for no reason. balls.

hey remember when we slept in the truck last night in their parking lot. woke up to being completely snowed in and then found out they arent opening. yeah that was stupid.

hiked a little , there was thigh deep snow on the runs.
 
Man this is disappointing. My girlfriends family is up here from Oregon to visit and wanted to ski Stevens tomorrow. Her bro wanted me to show him all over since he is pretty good. Stevens is closed, as it Snoqualmie and White Pass. Man, might have to go to MIssion Ridge if they are open. Damn it though, I dont have the money to be going to other places when I got a college pass to Stevens. Damn it, I got excited when I saw the first thing that they would be open for limited operations but then I checked the website just now and they are officially closed.

Well I am over in Ellensburg and just gotta pass over Blewett. Shouldnt be too bad I wouldnt think, I dont believe they have closed Blewett yet.
 
thats because people in eastern washington can drive in adverse weather without killing themselves

west coast? west coast is for newbs now the east thats the place to be

just kiddin i love to ski the west when ever i can

ive never been to sevens pass but it sounds pretty sick
 
alpy will still be fun to shred in may

but yeah I have heard that stevens needs to close by a certain date due to one of the many ways that the forest service screws them over
 
true. and inbounds at stevens after they close is probably one of the safer spots on highway 2 due to all the preemptive work all season. key word is "probably".
