Got an email back from the pass in reply to the one I sent when I was slightly inebriated recommending that they work on the park. Apparently the pipe is going to be cut this weekend! And they also cite the lack of jumps and quality issues to the new snow... and honestly, I believe them, we've been getting dumped on nightly for the past month.

Bastards I am debating between skiing Sat or watching the seahawks. God damn it. I cant decide they are both so important to me.

Still pooping at Stevens! Tues and Wends were sick...And more to come by next week. I need to get some more days off the POW train just isn't stoping. JEA PNW

My envy is just... beyond me right now. Lucky for me, school is unavoidable.

I keep looking at the webcams, and it just keeps accumulating. 16" according to the DOT as I write this. Lucky for those who get to seize it.

Don't worry Grant, Alpental yesterday was good, nothing spectacular. Certainly not the 16" I was expecting, more like 6". And it got heavy quick with the snow/freezing rain mix that was falling. And they kept closing the pass for avy control. Still a blast though, obviously.

Fuck FUCK WORK....... 14 overnight is almost a mandatory sick day but I kinda like my job and don't feel like losing it. Whoever's out there better rip the shit out that pow and get some faceshots. The POW train is still chugging. Chooo Chooo bitches.

we did not get 20" we only got 19" in know because i had to shovel off every rail and jump in the park this morning didn't get it open till 11:30 we were buried! we even brough a cat back out at 10 to reset some stuff, oh yeah give Rasta Trev a call and wish him good luck. hurt his knee today......big bummer

Yeah, so it was ridiculous. Heavenly pillows off southern cross, untracked all freaking day for me, myself and I. Got a bit heavy near the bases, but meh, still a damn fun time. Tye Bowl was barely tracked when I left, same with Big Chief Bowl and the hike--accessible stuff off southern cross. Snow made me wish I was on fatter skis though, my Madens sunk so bad.

Also, I was proud to be one of the foolish few to hit Tye today, booya for first (and second) tracks straight off the sliver. When taken with a little speed, its actually not that bad of a landing.

Did you get a good pop even with the power? I feel like the snow will just cave in and i wont get a good pop. I go straight off it but have never hit the sliver.

Wow that didnt make sense, I came home drunk last night and wrote that haha. But what I meant to say was that do you get adequate pop every time? With my luck I would collapse and freefall onto the rock below, god damn that would hurt.

The first time I popped weird, cause the tip was untracked, and I had to lean back to get through that bit... but the second time I didnt pop at all, and it felt a lot better in terms of landing. Tye is a fucking awful cliff when it comes down to it, terrible fucking landing no matter how you do it.

But speaking of that area, does anyone wanna go and knock down that pillow under the rock and session it as a 40' natural kicker sometime? Its almost filled in enough for it to work like last years.

Also, 8,000 foot snow level tomorrow, I think thats the highest we've had since September. New record for WA?

Yeah, next week looks sorta shitty... time to work on park I guess.

Sounds pretty damn intriguing. I never saw this last season, sounds pretty fun. Id be down to check it out, I aint the best at jumps but im always down to check stuff out and give it a shot. I was gonna go up tomorrow but fucking friends bailed out but with 8,000 foot snow level maybe it wouldnt have been that great anyway.

With the snowpack like it is, I hope you got all your gear, and the latest data from the avalanche center. Would hate to see somebody from stevens area, get caught in a slide.

Just sayin

ZONE AVALANCHE FORECASTS

* OLYMPICS, WASHINGTON CASCADES NEAR AND WEST OF THE

CREST-

High avalanche danger above 4-5000 feet Saturday and

considerable below. Considerable avalanche danger

Sunday above 4-5000 feet and moderate below.

Fun jump we made at Baker today. Bitchy in-run, long hike, long chairlift, but some fun footy, and some fun air!

God Baker needs to get the park up. I'm sick of skiing powder on my centermounted park skis.

10:20 and all lots are full again at stevens. Earlier and earlier each weekend. What is this blue shit in the sky? and that big bright round thing.... I can't remeber the last time it was sunny round here. Tue and Wend might end up park days if the snow warms up to much.
