Trans women aren’t women, trans men aren’t men. The over sensitivity on this topic is absurd that we need to discus names for tricks.

Please don't turn this thread to a classical NS dumpster fire

Nah, you're just a fucking idiot conflating an abbreviation to a completely different word and meaning. Fuck off back to whatever far-left shit hole you complained your way out of.

People get so fired up and aggressively transphobic whenever someone mentions the fact that we use a slur as a trick name and that using it hurts people. Language changes, either grow up or accept the fact you're a boomer and the days of your brain plasticity are gone.

If you've got a friend who has a nickname that they hate and you keep calling them it despite them asking you to stop then you're an asshole. Its really as easy as that.

Imagine thinking this is relevant. This is what happens when parents raise their kids wrong.

yeah fuck me for using a different word for a ski trick so skiing can be more welcoming and inclusive for people. Trick names are made up and change/ have alternates. Free country but all im saying is that if someone asks you to stop using a word that makes them uncomfortable then youre an asshole. its not a complex thing, youre just showing your cards that you care about people.

anyway i think this 3rd place consolation game is gonna be a heater if it happens. should be sick!

I’m generally on the side of accepting people for who they are BUT words =/= violence. Words cannot hurt people and if they hurt you, it’s time to grow some thicker fucking skin. Anytime someone tells me what I can or cannot say, I’m instantly against you.

Judging from you defensiveness you sound like the over sensitive person here. I'm just suggesting a slight change made out of compassion. Ultimately, I think we can agree to disagree on this point

There's a difference between sensitivity and sanity. There's no room for compassion when insane people start demanding outrageous stuff and only accept complete compliance on every psycho level they can come up with.

yep

Stoked on the Max Moffat and Ryan Stevenson rematch! Was a little shocked that during the last matchup they kept playing even though it was pretty obvious that Max couldn't keep up due to injury/ soreness.

Worst refereeing of the whole tournament wtf was that, honestly hard to watch! Sick game tho

Nah, it was consistent reffing which = good reffing.

Loved the game.

It was strict reffing, but applied well to both. Previous games saw loose calls, applied to both. Overall judging this tourny has been really good.

I agree, but honestly was too tight imo like some calls I was expecting to be called clean and he was no, but then he kept saying how he was sorry, idk not my game. I like a lil more chill game

in finals.

-noah set 100% safety-land holding or hand drag on rail.

-noah failed all of seb’s sets

-woodsy gave noah a trick he very clearly missed if you look at the video.

-this was noah’s second game this cup with double-triviacrack, meaning the game was fully decided by the winner of the rock-paper-scissors

and to the people who are saying that every other skier has a specific trick they have been using to get letters: sure, max has done 7ish 6 ons in 4 games. noah has done ~26 safetyslide sets. can you see the difference???

I don’t care what you have to say about noah or slvsh, this is ridiculous. I’m not even hating, just calling out the same thing as every other fan.

love to slvsh, joss, and noah. but I can’t believe people are defending this shit.

No matter what you think of Noah and Seb I think we can all agree this was a dissapointing final.

I like them both just didn't care for Noah's mindset this tournament. SLVSH always seemed to be about having fun with friends and playing with a sense of sportsmanship or following an honor code.

I respect "do what you gotta do to win" but this didn't feel like the correct place for that. There's no huge cash prize and this isn't the comp jock FIS world cup. The eagerness to win when everyone else is trying to chill is just off-putting .

The main difference imo is that safety is a trick it’s an addition, you can add it to anything, which is why it’s used. It’s Noah’s style, like why can’t people understand that.

him saying "land holding" will haunt me in my dreams. I love watching an instabanger edit of him, but I couldn't stand him in this atmosphere.

Nah, this ain't it. I'll start by saying I did think the games were snoozers but to say svlsh isn't about pushing your opponents is just wrong. Ryan said it best "push your friends, have fun". The best moments in slvsh have always been someone setting something absolutely brutal followed by a make (matej sw front flip screamin, which ferdi backed up).

Idk what actual action to take to make the games better, but I really hope future riders are not discouraged from setting criminal sets because that's always been what i found the most fun to watch.

fr in max vs ryan they set chill sets to start out and have fun. yea it got competitive but they were helping eachother out and barked and had a good time.

But seriously Noah played like a dick in the chillest comp in skiing. Im just pissed cuz I look forward to my favorite pros interacting having a good time and trying new shit.

I dont like watching them failing the same trick time and time again.

Best part of the game was Joss' guac fit.

I think you are responding to the wrong comment, when did I say that? lol

Keeping on adding 180 to the same trick your opponent couldn't get the first time isn't the best sportsmanship. As is calling a trick under a rail that's many times more difficult for your opponent because they're a head taller. But it's still a competition so can't blame him.

Still, love Slvsh and loved this Slvsh Cup. Happy to have amazing content like this and would be very bummed if anything changed because of a bunch of ungrateful chodes.

That under rail call was the best call of the whole cup.

You know that kid you use to play video games with and all they did was figure out how to do the same thing over and over to win and everyone got feed up with them and everyone stop playing with them? That's Noah.

Fr agreed its about pushing. Colby vs vinny and colby vs finn ender in grandvalira 19 was nuts. Colby won with a fw cork 6 stale out of a canon rail, that was a really competitive call... and the vinny vs colby game, which was super competitive (and friendly), was one of the best games of all time.

14:00

That final went about as well as expected, though the missed call on the unheld safety made it even worse. Nevertheless, a great series of games and pretty interesting to watch a competition where style can win outright.

Seb shouldve called 'handrag the top of the container' which Noah can't reach lol

I just hope everyone practices safety slides before next year's cup.

Also not going to lie, nice to see something different win something for once. Yes it's kinda a dick move to add spins after they didn't make the previous, but it is what it is. If rock paper scissors would have went the other way spin to win would have won like every other comp.

Noah can’t do the same tech tricks I can’t do and the rest of the field can’t do the safety grab land holding tricks I also can’t do. I’m going to go make hot dogs and yell at my floor.
