SLVSH Grandvalira 2024

I think Ryan had more leeway than Mikel. Super bummed to see him go out. Reff didn't seem to like him. Some of those calls were deff sus.

I love mikkel but he had the loosest call in SLVSH history in his favor in this game lol

Yeah Joona is an interesting ref. I respect him for staying consistent for the most part but it seems like he gets nervous making a tough call sometimes and is more prone to letting something slide. Like Joss said no one’s perfect and I got no hate for Joona

Yeah reffing was pretty perfect imo. Loose, strict, Defense leniency, whichever way they do it as long as its consistent it's fair so I had no issues with anything

Ryan Mikkel was the best game yet. Love watching both those guys ski, wish they didn’t have a first round matchup

Wasn't it johan?

holy goodness gracious that was a good game. Imo just what is fun to watch in Slvsh, both riders trying new tricks that they havent done before an pushing each other and having a good time. I had never really seen kadi ski before but is also so smooth with his tricks and just throws down. That was probably my favourite game yet

after the last two games, Im a big fan of Ryan Stevenson now. super funny and stuck by his guns for the calls. Kadi and Ian was a great matchup, all around good stuff

Genuinely feel bad for Noah with all the hate he's getting. I hope he dove into his bag for this game because I know for a fact he has tech and the kids hating have no clue

The hate on the insta post is so whack

Ugh, noah keeps setting safety slide. It's basically a cheat code now. Yeah it's cool that he can do it but it makes him seem like a one trick pony. The point of slvsh is who is the most versatile skier but it's still annoying.

I just watched todays game and its boutta get way worse lol

yeah damn youtube comments already angry. Chris had his chance and probably could have reverse swept if he was a little more conservative in his calls, and I'm sure he knew Noah was gonna call safety slides and probably had the chance to practice. Nico or Ryan probably gonna take him down, but at this point it be kinda funny if he went all the way

one of the many reasons i couldn't play slvsh well, if you called safety slide i'd be like yep all set on that i wanna keep my fingers, give me another letter

LOL I hope he keeps it up and takes the whole thing just so I can watch you jackasses freak out.

It’s lowkey hilarious how mad people are over noah’s games. I find it annoying too but it’s not the end of the world. It also exposes a big hole is people’s bag of tricks. Wack but in a funny way.

Ideal scenario is Ryan Stevenson vs. Noah cuz I can see a universe where Ryan lets his inner Jersey out and starts trolling the shit outta him

This is pretty ridiculous on Noahs part, only doing tricks that Chris has probably never done before is super wack while barely scraping by on simple tricks like a sw to sw. props to Chris though for actually setting some real shit even if it meant he wasn't going to 100% lace them

all this is really making me want to add the land holding safety slide to my bag lol. also people are downplaying the difficulty of the trick, the one on the flat down box he basically almost sliced his fingers off, and the ending two on with safety slide was so damn proper. Also the switch one on one out on the wallride was actually fucked up

I'm not mad about all the safety calls, it's fair game, a valid tactic, and just how he skis. But I'm a little mad they counted the boot touch off the wallride as a valid grab.

your so edgy and twisted for your unpopular opinions, to you a scary movie is prolly just a movie

Noah is from Spain ??

I am not sure what the average size of a male is in Spain though ?

DobbydaChris is from Scotland, I'm currently there visiting family, everyone is shorter. Don't know about Noah though

2 on holding safety is so gnarly, give this man some respect! Also wallride 1 on 1 off was very impressive, Noah is no slouch. He sure as hell isn't spinning to win, and everyone is gonna walk away from this tourney with safety slides in the bag. Net win for skiing, maybe kinda odd to watch in the moment.

best take yet. that wallride trick was actually so fucked i have no idea how he did that

Pardon the greentext but

>Game is set up to put letters on opponents

>You use what you have that others don't to give them letters

Respect to Noah for managing the safety slides, but keep it to one or to letters. I feel like it has always been etiquette to not continue doing stuff you know people are going to fail on repeatedly to win games in SLVSH. Like Matt could have just done wacky flips, but he. only did one or two and then moved on, not a good look

Say what you want about Noah and his safety slides but I agree with what joss said in the other thread, it’s not that big of a deal and I’m sure either Ryan or nico will take out Noah in the next round anyways

Just goes to show how sick slvsh is that we're all this passionate about it. Definitely the most entertaining ski footy out there right now- mad props to all involved!

And yeah I thought that Ollie on call no good was confusing to me when it looked like a dope clean line. and also I thought woodsy explained a long time ago in an early slvsh game that you can only use the same trick once. I dunno but It does make me want to try more safety slides so that's cool I guess

I get why people are defending Noah but, c’mon. It’s not really in the spirit of the game to spam a trick that most people can’t do. This will probably drastically change SLVSH going forward, everyone will just have one freakish trick they can pull out of the bag to rack letters.

There needs to be some kind of rule against repeating tricks. Can’t call the same grab more than 2-3 times per game, idk. But this isn’t good for SLVSH.
