Ski Sundown 10/11 Season

I believe the goal is everything but gunnie, panhandle, and most of sunny side (I believe just little joe will be open over there) - those guys usually take a bit longer to open.

Sweet! got my skiing in for the week. Maybe another day tomorrow if the snow in my backyard sticks around. Then next week at sundown and butternut!!

Snowmaking update:

I know it's really early, but they are forecasting a possible snowstorm Friday night- Saturday!

THAT WOULD BE AWSOME

snow would be fantastic to jump start this winter back from lame.

park plan is to keep stuff in our "slope style" side of the lift until we can get more trails open. we gotta spread people out ya know. so, knowing that we're limited to that (which is fine because snow guns will be bombing the steeper section anyway) i was thinking of doing a cannon/hip like k-town had up in november. into two lines. rails on one side, boxes and bonks on the other. all teh way to the bottom. with the s rail last. we're gonna have brendan and another new guy come in this week to blast off the rust and paint up some jibs nicely.

soon

haha wow. i thought it would be like 18". When you say in some places do you just mean some piles? because i know some other mountains keep a lot of snow in the early season in big piles incase temps go back up, so it stays better.

no, I mean some places that you think are "flat" going down the hill with snow, are actually giant trenches and berms and whatnot. There's already tons of snow and no stop in sight, good stuff.

Where does ski sundown keep their moguls in the summer? I tried looking for them but i couldnt find them. Jarrod must have hiden them very well.........

So will there be rails/boxes in the begining of stinger? like where the 16 and S-rail was for most of last season?

anyone still have their comp tickets that came with their season passes and wants too hook a homie up when i come home in a couple weeks?!?!?!? id throw some dough or nugs to compensate for the tickets!!

nah just kidding can't smoke again until april... how much cash you wanna throw out though haha, not to be doing it just for the money, but theres some friends that could use it too

i'm going to put features to the skiers left of the lift until we get more trails open (shuoldnt be more than a couple days) then we'll take over the entire trail just like normal. Tom's Park will have tiny jibs and mellow rollers. i got to observe how people are skiing the trail with features on it to decide where to plunk down anything else. Get your joey friends, girl friends, parents... everyone! onto Tom's and learning sweet stunts. the more people using the feautres the more space we can have.

Whatever we can get outta the pile probably, haha.

lift tower rail, 32, flat-up, mini dfd, flatbox, cbox, some flatbars, and a couple others are cleaned and ready to go I believe...but who knows what will actually make it up the hill, haha.

played out phrase..... "if it were going to be easy we'd be on the west coast."

it'll be fine. its only water... snow is water... so it'll be fine.

the several sites i've checked have said rain sunday, snow monday and a bunch of other days that week... im not too worried, also my science teacher said that if we're expecting a snowday it would be monday and sunday's rain is iffy and could be snow/rain, or jst snow

hey...

my science teacher is an old lady... and the only reason i listen to her is because its more positive than the shit you speak of!

I snagged some discounts at the CO railjam, should I make the treck up one day frenchy? I got a buy 1 get 1 free night and 4hr upgrade one.

I think the bickering/vaginal sand will be over by friday. I think the thread was made a little to early haha its already page 5

Remember...I made this thread for the Sundown Rail Jams as well...which started a week after the thread was made.

Now, back on topic...park build should begin tomorrow morning!

ohh yeah sorry i forgot about the jam part of it. Im excited for the plan of the park. How many features do you think in each line? The way it sounds, makes it seem like it would keep people from stopping at every feature and just flowing through the whole line
