is the lawsuit gona affect the parks in anyway? its legit that the jury showed you guys were doin shit right, but im wondering if your insurance company is asking to cut anything back. jarrod?
we'll still take requests and try to make features the best we can utilizing experience and common sense with a knowledgable riders perspective.
as far as cutting stuff back? no. no one has said that to me. not that we were going after INFERNO or anything haha. it'll be a Sundown parks plan and we're moving ahead.
temps are cold enough yet, and the 10 day isn't dropping enough + warm rain = no snow yet...soon though, a few more weeks, hopefully, as long as mother nature cooperates.
that edit made me relize how sick the big dfd rail was wen it was set up as a flat up down, you should recreate that jarrod. The snowboarder tryin those so caled rodeo 5s needs to learn how to pop haha.
I love watching old edits and getting ideas for what i'd like to see this year. Like 2 years ago opening weekend was 2 flat boxes at the top and then the Down flat down box on the left side when you look up the mountain, right where it gets wider and sort of flatter
i wish there was a park on toms a couple years ago. its fun just shredding down. if there were some features on it to just play around on it, it would deffiantly be way more fun
Yeah, the plan as of now is basically to the top of the trail (up until the split off to over easy and papoose) with lots of rollers and banks and maybe a bonk or two...it still has to be the easiest way down, and then, once the trails split of there will be smaller jibs and rails and bonks and stuff. It's gonna be just an all around fun trail now.
who is he...I'm pretty sure I can identify everyone in this thread except him...
Snow will be made when there are AT LEAST 3 nights below 30 with no rain and no high temps during the day (above 40) in a row. As always, shooting for an opening day of the day/weekend after Thanksgiving. Once those guns start though, snow will be down in a hurry, all the guns appear to be out and ready to go.
the guns are out, air compressors have been serviced, pumps are ready. Cat's are ready, lifts are ready, lodge is almost ready.... this is the most stressful time of year for sure.
opening day park wishes? any sundown rail that doesn't need a lot of snow ie; Big Rainbow, man size fdf... etc.
Flat box followed by fdf box, some new places for rails this year like the s rail on a flat part of where the addition was added to stinger a few years ago, some really mellow down rails after that last up a tiny bit urban, like that flat rail at the Colorado jam. Also for simsbury celebrates can we have a flat box? I want to take it easy because it's only a few days after the doctor says I can ski
How about flat bar, fdf box, turn the corner then down rail and then down box (or the other way around, doesn't matter) then at the "flat" gotta have the "hip jump" to cover the rock, I'm liking s-rail there with the cannon and maybe the 32 as a flat (options), then when the hill goes back down skinny urban down and mini dfd. If there's still room maybe squeeze in the fdf rail or the down-up rail at the end.
http://www.accuweather.com/us/ct/granby/06035/forecast-month.aspthought this was worth posting... although its over a week away and can be innacurate its no higher than 40 during the day, cold enough to make snow at night, and more than 3 consecutive days!
